Метро: Last Light Redux - повествует о событиях, которые происходили после Метро "2033" и до сюжета книги "2034" Дмитрия Глуховского. Исходя из этого сложно сопоставить лор книги и игры, но если исходить из сюжета, видно, что авторы игры стараются придерживаться канону книги.
Касаемо истории, не имеет значения какую концовку вы выбрали в первой части игры серии, потому что в Last Light игра берет за старт каноничный конец книги "2033"
Сюжетно, данная часть получилась более душевной и размеренной, чем предыдущая. Очень отрадно было проходить DLC к игре, в которых под управление выдавались другие герои этой вселенной.
Визуально проект не сильно отличается от предшественника, она такая же мрачная. Ассеты также перекочевали из Redux версии "2033", как по мне тонально и графически, игра выглядит так, как и должна.
По аудио сильного апгрейда не было, в большинстве случаев используется тот же набор актеров озвучания, что и в прошлой части. В этом плане игре не хватает разнообразия.
Геймплейно данный проект играется абсолютно идентично прошлой части, вплоть до вариаций вооружения и его модификаций, но чувствуется, что подкрутили AI ботов. Хотя я и проходил игру по стелсу, но в уровне с дополнения "Башня" полностью ощутил, что боты могут спокойно стрелять по тебе, даже если ты не успел выйти с ними на визуальный контакт.
Игра старается делиться более четко по секторам. Сектор стелса, сектор битвы, сектор хоррора и тд.
Подкрутили дизайн уровней, проще говоря, игра стала лучше вести игрока по линейным локациям.
При этом, большим недостатком я считаю архаично раскиданные точки сохранения. К примеру в дополнении с Павлом , я попал в ситуацию станлока, где по загрузке я умирал.
Так же можно столкнуться с малоприятными нюансами при попытке исследовать густонаселенную локацию, либо, если тебя ведет персонаж и говорит с тобой, то чем ты дальше от него, тем хуже тебе его слышно. Из-за этого, приходится буквально быть "прилепленным" к своему поводырю, чтобы не пропустить лоровые реплики. Иногда приходится выбирать , пропустить реплику, или пойти исследовать локацию.
В техническом состоянии игры тоже есть проблемы, игра стабильно крашится на загрузке при включенной функции Physx, так же были и вылеты по другим неизвестным мне причинам.
Забавно, что это вторая игра серии, а подложку под кнопку интеракции при QTE сегментах добавили только в последнем дополнении с Анной.
Вывод: данный проект очень хорошо смотрится как прямое продолжении "2033", но как отдельная игра, она не привносит ничего особо нового. Я однозначно получил удовольствие поиграв в данную часть и всем тем, кому нравится вселенная Метро и история Артема, я советую к прохождению данную игру.

Regarding the story, it doesn’t matter which ending you chose in the first part of the game in the series, because in Last Light the game starts with the canonical ending of the book “2033”
Plot-wise, this part turned out to be more soulful and measured than the previous one. It was very gratifying to go through the DLC for the game, in which other heroes of this universe were given control.
Visually, this part is not much different from its predecessor, it is just as gloomy, the assets also migrated from the Redux version of “2033”, as for me, tonally and graphically, the game looks the way it should.
There was no major upgrade in audio; in most cases, the same set of voice actors is used as in the previous part. In this regard, the game lacks variety.
Gameplay-wise, this project plays absolutely identical to the previous part, right down to the variations of weapons and their modifications, but it feels like they have tweaked the AI ​​bots. Although I played the game in stealth, in the level with the “Tower” add-on I fully felt that bots could calmly shoot at you, even if you did not have time to make visual contact with them.
The game tries to divide itself more clearly into sectors. Stealth sector, battle sector, horror sector, etc.
The level design has been tweaked; in other words, the game has become better at guiding the player through linear locations.
At the same time, I consider the archaically scattered save points to be a big drawback. For example, in the addition with Pavel, I found myself in a stunlock situation, where upon loading I was dying.
You can also encounter unpleasant nuances when trying to explore a densely populated location, or if a character is leading you and talking to you, then the further you are from him, the worse you can hear him. Because of this, you literally have to be “stuck” to your guide so as not to miss lore cues. Sometimes you have to choose whether to skip a line or go explore the location.
There are also problems in the technical condition of the game, the game constantly crashes on loading when the Physx function is enabled, and there were also crashes for other reasons unknown to me.
It's funny that this is the second game in the series, and the background for the interaction button during QTE segments was added only in the last addition with Anna.
Conclusion: this project looks very good as a direct continuation of "2033", but as a separate game, it does not bring anything particularly new. I definitely enjoyed playing this part and I recommend this game to all those who like the Metro universe and the story of Artyom.
