FUGH! So I had fun with this game but it wasn't what I thought it would be, and most of the game drove me mentally !@#$ing crazy as a result. I bought the game thinking it would be a Souls'ey action game with sweet swish swwoooo swish lightsaber action but that's only 20% of the game. 80% of the game is running around these confusing big levels that make no sense realistically even in the context of Star Wars with tons of platforming, climbing, puzzles and tomb raider stuff. Now, there's nothing wrong with those things, I love playing platformers and Tomb Raider, but in this game those aspects were done in a way that is usually more of a slog than adding to any fun.

..What absolutely nutters me about the above is that small handful of boss fights that are in the game are freaking awesome because the combat feels very fun. Yet some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game director or something decided NAH most of the game should be about meandering around these maze-like levels instead of banking on the sweet lightsaber combat. I spent a lot of time in this game wishing I could be put in some gauntlets of combat but instead it makes you work for it by enduring hours of boring sections and puzzles you usually have to youtube because they're obtuse as ♥♥♥♥.

As for the story the characters are MLEH. The protaganist is just another milqtoast good guy, the alien ship captain is an annoying unfunny ♥♥♥♥ that you can tell they tried really hard to be endearing (he's not. Did nobody learn the lesson of Jar-Jar Binks?). The ex-Jedi woman on the ship is fine I guess, and there are other side charatcers, but the game feels so short that by the timje they start exploring those other characters the game is already over! Oh and the story is about collecting mcguffins that don't even matter by the end. Sheesh, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA what's been going in the office past fifteen years? Handed Star Wars and couldn't even make a cool story with it.
