Resident Evil 7, nice

Monster Hunter World, yes

Devil May Cry 5, Yes

RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE, YES!

RESIDENT EVIL 3 REMAKE, ....yes, well actually no.

After clocking in about 32 hours into this game on every difficulty, during lockdown, explored every nook and cranny and digested everything this god forsaken game has offered me, I one hundred percent safe to say-- this game is a mixed bag. It feels more like a reimagining than a remake. ♥♥♥♥, this feels more like a well crafted expansive DLC for RE2R than its standalone remake. There's a lot of content cut off from the original game, no Mercenaries mode, no varieties in costumes, there is no CLOCK TOWER, let that sink in. No Clock Tower, no Raccoon Park so don't expect to face off with Grave Digger, no Dead Factory-- well it's replaced with "NEST 2" which is.... fine, I guess. The main downtown is extremely compressed and Nemmy is heavily scripted. He only chases you around in downtown and that's bout it. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broke my RB on my controller for the final showdown with Nemesis on Inferno because he's so ridiculous. You've got to time the dodging perfectly or else that's it-- you're dead. If his attacks don't kill you, the stun lock will. It took me almost an hour to time everything beautifully!

The RE Engine kinda struggled with what it tried to present. I noticed some heavy flickering on surface textures periodically. The zombies' texture would stretch out in a goofy manner and some of the details would look extremely pixelated, despite having some shot pieces looking absolutely stunning.

On the positive side note, the chemistry with Jill and Carlos is truly something to behold, Mikhail was a cool dude, so was Tyrell, ♥♥♥♥ Nikolai, generic as he was, still cool. This iteration of Brad was a badass in a sense. The soundtrack in my opinion is a lot better than RE2R's. Nightmare and Inferno mode was a nice little change up but---- That's all I can say.

If Capcom ever releases a type of "Directive's Cut" or an alternative version where they filled in the gaps, I would definitely replay RE3R and quite possibly, change my view on this, but until then-- I'm done with this game.

Experiencing a somewhat drop in quality from a streak of golden gems Capcom was releasing kinda leaves me worry for any upcoming futures of REmaked games--> I'm talking to you rumored RE4R.

We shall see.

We shall see.
