This is a game that has aged like fine wine. No remaster needed.
Don't let companies try to sell you a broken version of a game you already love and enjoy.

Brings me back to the good old days old plastic army men games. Dev is active and the community is nice, definitely worth a look.

Still the best PDX game after all these many years

Paradox is a sad, lifeless, husk of their former selves. It is beyond disappointing to watch the company that made so many of my personal favorite games ever, fall so far from former quality and completeness. But I guess that is the way of change and nature, there will be other companies that make paradox games better than paradox could ever dream of and I bid everyone to wait for those new rising stars because this here is just sad, Victoria 3 is sad, Paradox is sad, I'm sad.

Edit after time and many content updates: I really wish there was an in-between option between yes recommend and no, because I think Vikky 3 is complicated. On principle Paradox's DLC scheme is atrocious, I'd love for them to return to expansion packs not small drips of overpriced piecemeal content. But I think in terms of gameplay, Vikky 3 has the potential to evolve into a really good game. The issues with the game stem not in the quality of what content exists, but merely that it is shallow and without much flavor. Like a soup that wasn't seasoned. If people ask whether or not they should play Vikky 2 or 3, I would say it is impossible to compare them since Vikky 3 is nothing like 2. And maybe that's ok. Victoria 3 more than anything is an economic sandbox where "line goes up". So if that interests you then I would say give it a try.
