I'd been casually following the development of Pizza Tower on twitter for years and I had no idea the beast that was about to be unleashed come launch day. Absolutely fantastic game, worth all the money and time I spent getting 100%.

Super fun game, though it can be a little rough around the edges and a little bit unforgiving. The game has almost no written text/dialogue except for level names, so you'll find items or meet NPCs and have zero idea what any of them do until you just kind of figure it out after a few hours. Checkpoints in levels are either weirdly frequent or INCREDIBLY spread out, and instant deaths from pits or lava will probably make up a majority of your deaths which can lead to some slogs trying to get through the long, checkpointless sections. But besides that, the game has a ton of variety in enemies, game play styles, and more bosses than I can count on my fingers. The soundtrack has some pretty memorable tracks, ranging from "Gets the job done" to "Absolute banger". If you don't mind a challenge, Mago is jam packed with tons of fun ideas and content that's definitely worth the price tag.

I can't believe how hard they went on this DLC oh my god. This is a no-brainer pickup if you liked the original game there's so much new stuff to see.

Absolutely fantastic game. Super fun, great OST, a lot to dig into if you're a completionist. Definitely pick up the Vampire Hunter DLC if you like the base game, it's like a whole new game entirely.

A short and sweet game. A real "hidden gem mom rented for you at the video store" kind of game. Really impressive for a solo dev!

This game is an absolute treat and I'll always kick myself for waiting so long to finally pick it up. It's super fun, there's literally hundreds upon hundreds of different abilities and combinations across two very unique playable characters, the soundtrack is fantastic, the art style is really charming, and there's just SO MUCH STUFF. Of the 46 hours I have logged at the time of writing this review, the fact that only about 3 or 4 of those hours was spent playing things I had already done previously is insane to me.

There is so much love, passion, and detail put into every ounce of this game. The 2 developers who worked on this game for 7 years put so much into this. Every small little detail was thought of, like there's dozens of unique dialogues for the characters for like failing a room, beating an endless boss with a certain ability or combination of abilities. This attention to detail even extends to the actual gameplay with different environments and weather changing the way your attacks behave. This is only scratching the surface, really.

I absolutely love this game. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the soundtrack, and I love the beautiful screen filling chaotic ecstasy of spamming your ridiculous combinations of weapons. I really don't think there's any game quite like it, and I can't recommend it enough.

Once you've done a run through the arcade mode and gotten a grasp on a character's move-set the game becomes one long string of back-to-back satisfying moments. The combos in this game feel really open because you can play off your situation in a sense, like using the hit-stun of throwing an enemy at another enemy to keep them in the air longer so you can rush over and keep wailing on them. Game-play alone makes it my favorite in the genre, and good sprite-work, fun character design, a kickin' soundtrack, and a whole plethora of unlockables is all just icing on the cake.

A very solid game and a total steal for the asking price. Really challenging to beat but very satisfying once you do, and there's plenty of ways to make the game even more challenging.
But seriously it's only 5 bucks, I would have easily paid double.
