Garbage game, just hold forward and let the game tell the narrative for you.

Story is alright I guess. Nemesis boss fights are cool.

Severely lacking in extras that I am used to from resident evil games at this point. Very short game as well with little replay value (no alternate routes to try and decrease your time, "puzzles" are largely just hold forward go to room, collect item, turn around and hold forward again). Would not recommend.

nice netcode fun game

It's a fantastic game. Finally a proper english translation, finally a way to give my money for this fantastic fighting game.

Buttons feel fun to press. Movement is fluid. Well balanced and variable roster. Decent story to follow in the arcade mode. Really not much to complain about here folks. You want a good fighting game, here it is.

Fair warning, playing online is really quite bad. The way it handles network latency is not very good. But I would still recommend this game to anyone who enjoys fighting games, either way.

It's a very fun fighting game. Lots to do offline, as well as a fairly lively online community at the moment. Not a big fan of the aesthetic of some of the characters, but I've had fun playing almost everyone in the game so far. If you are looking for a new fighting game to hop into, this should be on your list somewhere.

Had an awful launch cycle, finally got it fixed, but support by the devs is now dropped. No future characters, balance changes, or netcode updates to come to this release.

If you are looking to play the game just for the story, it's alright for the cheesy B-Film style they went for. But definitely not worth $60, wait for a good sale. If you are looking to play this game somewhat competitively, don't even bother.

If you like fighting games, do yourself a favor and pick this game up.

If you don't like fighting games, ehh, it might be a good introduction to them if you are looking to get into them. Characters are cool, soundtrack is awesome, and there's a tutorial to help new players get started. Story is a convoluted mess but if you like watching anime cutscenes and fighting against the cpu, it's there.

Whenever I get sick of shmups, cave shmups always bring me back in. Amazing game, beautiful art style, can be hard as balls but is still very fun.

There are a few issues at launch, but they are relatively minor and have workarounds. They are currently working on a patch for these issues so expect many of them to be fixed soon. I still would recommend the game, even with the patch not out yet, since it is so much fun.

Edit: It's been a week or so, and still no local leaderboards. I'm switching my review to a no until they finally implement them.

Edit 2: They have finally added local scores being saved. Albeit it only saves the highest score. I would have preferred a full fledged leaderboard but, I'll cut my losses. This still works for me, and I can even see where my highest scores were at each part of the level.

Switching my recommendation back to a yes for this one, and excited to dive back into the game.

Don't tell my friends I play this game.

I felt bad, so I'm gonna write a bit about this game.

It's a good fighting game. Very unique, doesn't really play too much like Arcsys fighting games like GG/BB. Very deep, there is a lot to learn about it. The game feels a little clunky at first until you get more used to the homing button, but after that it feels great.

If you can look past the art style and are looking for a breath of fresh air in the fighting game genre, this is it.

Hands down the best f2p trading card game on the market.
