in most first-person shooters you walk down a hallway or narrow street, firing an assault rifle from the hip and gunning down people who are less than fifty feet away whilst deafening, generic orchestral music plays

in this game you slowly and deliberately move from target to target in your scope, situated just behind a sandy ridge, picking the enemy off one by one with carefully placed semiautomatic rifle fire from more than five hundred meters away, all while you listen to the sickening crack of bullets that are travelling faster than the speed of sound miss your simulated head by mere inches

thanks to arma 3, i now know what a rocket-propelled grenade being fired in the far distance sounds like

only in this game can you miraculously survive having your helicopter shot down, and then genuinely feel fortunate for having done so

An FPS in the purest sense of the word, likens back to classics such as DOOM and Quake.
No levels, no objectives, just fight skeletons in hell for as long as possible whilst ammassing sick-ass powerups.

Do I get my money back yet?

The most fun you'll ever have taking to the high seas and robbing merchants of their possesions.

I give it a YARGH out of 10.

Pretty good! Nice and straightfoward gameplay mechanics, concise and uncomplecated story, and decently good graphics. Perfect for Half Life fans and anyone who wants a free game to occupy their time for about an hour.
