If the randomness of Dota underlords where youre constantly rerolling for your characters bothers you, this game only randomizes perks that are offered between rounds. And everyone is offered the same selections.

Success is based on countering the other players: in unit placement, synergy and tech paths.

2v2 PVP, PVE and survival modes are also available, which is a nice touch.

Easily worth $15.

This is Mount and Blade Arenas with Gorn Physics. The combat is satisfying enough to keep me coming back.

There is a ton of multiplayer content if you are interested in all game modes.

Classic PVP has 13 maps as of 12/19, which is a bit low. The third year of re-releasing of Shipment in a row is pretty disappointing. Despite it's popularity for grinding guns, there are more fun maps to remaster.

Ground war is a noticeable improvement over MW19, they seamed to work in more 'Battlefield' type moments. The lack of map destruction still gives too much emphasis on snipers, though.

The engagements are closer range than earlier MWs. Maps feel ~80% the size of MW19 maps, and have less bunkers to hold down and more 'disparate hallways' to get around the map.

MG's have been retooled from bullet hoses to the same TTK as AR's w/ longer ranges but slower movement/handling.

They have a diverse range of battle rifles, which is a step up, but any burst or high-damage assault rifles (FAMAS, ODIN) are not there. The M16 is the worst AR in the game due to its low range (because that's the AR class' drawback) and high recoil.

They nerfed Riot Shields from 2 hit kills to 3, and decreased their movement speed to slower than someone holding an AR. I know that closer engagements made riot shields better overall, but without faster throw times for equipment and movement, it is outclassed by any other close ranged weapon.

It rips off every PC card game I've played, but in a good way.

The 1:1 card art/names from Hearthstone is too much tho...

Reminds me of playing SOCOM single player. Customization is A+. Some variety in AI actions and animations would be nice.

Take the Mount & Blade pre-kingdom meta-game and add turn-based RPG mechanics.

Unlike M&B or Battle Brothers, the quests have more depth than "Escort Merchant caravan to three towns for 60 Shillings per day". There are bosses, high magic abilities (unlike Battle Brother's muted low-fantasy approach) and pretty fleshed out crafting systems.

It's as if someone took the top down "Dudes moving across a map" RPG format and added quests that do not feel procedurally generated.

I bought the game for 40% off and there were 10 people online at 9pm on a Friday during a sale... wait for this to bake in the oven and a fire sale for the publisher to build an actual playerbase.

Do not buy for more than $10 with the hope that players come. I refunded for just that opportunity.

First and foremost, this game needs another month or two to cook in the oven. The online features are barebones: no steam invites, no skill/level/experience based matchmaking, no cross-platform invites, no teammate history, and occasionally your party's voice chat gets merged with people who aren't in your lobby.

Once you look past all that, there is a unique stealth-oriented third person MOBA. The heroes all feel sufficiently different and completing/losing objectives feels just as rewarding/frustrating as other MOBAs/Hero Shooters. Most importantly, it requires a lot of team coordination relative to other multiplayer action games.

Yes, on the surface there are notes from Payday and Assassins Creed. But once you get past the first phase of the game where everyone is stealthing thru NPCs, the game becomes an objective-based hero action game.

Yes, there are bushes you can hide in. No, you cannot pop out of them and instant kill other players like AC.

Yes, the theme is a heist. No, the NPC guards guarding the treasure are not the main threat/objective like Payday.

The main game mode is Payload from TFT in stealth flavor. Do not let the theme make you think this is coop Assassins Creed.
