Sassy's Human



Life and fate are out to get me. To meet such ends they have installed the BiasChip into every game I play.

In 2007 my lil brother passed away in a house fire and his cat Sassy came to live with us.
In 2011 my father passed & I became Sassy's human.
In 2018 Sassy kept laying on her belly with paws all tucked in and could barely lift her head.
I came to know this as the "Meatloaf Position" with the difficulty in lifting her head factored in.

Sassy was diagnosed with Feline Kidney Disease and my heart sank as I was faced with a decision.
However I learned of an IV treatment with Ringer's Lactate given just under the skin and thanks to that treatment plus the website below I managed to keep Sassy alive for 2 yrs and 2 months (Almost a decade in kitty years.) till I lost her June 28th 2020. Please have your cats & dogs kidneys checked when they reach the age of 10 and beyond.

This website was a blessing in my fight for Sassy.

I miss the strands of kitty hairs all over my black Tshirt

I miss the mews of protest behind closed doors
I miss my coat on the couch beside me emitting loud snores

And I even miss digging through her litter box
in search of buried treasures
And treasures they surely were
each day the reaper I'd subvert.

I miss my lil girl everyday.
