It's a good thing I haven't followed any of the hype for this game (or any other actually)
I saw someone on YouTube play it and thought it was a beautiful game, and, well, that it is; visually.

While I still intend on playing it, I'm quickly getting bored with what little there is to do, and that says a lot concidering how big the game world is!

Finding a planet that isn't hazardous is hard enough without having to try and find resources just to replenish your life support system. Than, you get to miraculously find a crashed ship that's better than yours! And you can have it for free!

Well, not really... now try and fix the damaged hardware before being able to launch.
If you spend enough time finding just enough things to get the ship flight worthy, you've spent a good amount of your time playing the game with no progress. (Which, oddly enough, is one thing I sort of enjoy, I mean, I got the ship for free and managed to get it to fly).
Although, the problem here is, what if you did this on a planet that was eaing up your needed resources to keep you alive instead of fixing the ship? I actually restarted the game because of this (google that for PC users, it is possible) I'm kind of interested in seeing something I discovered from the first game to see if the server keeps that data, but the universe is so big that's unlikely.

So, now you've got a new ship, it's up and running (but you probably had to dismantle one or two things you just couldn't fix). Now what? Well, you're going to need Thaumium9 to fuel your jets, so out in space you go because the asteroid belts are 99% Thaumium9. If you're lucky you'll find some good resources out there as well... can make a bit of money now.

Find another planet, get resources for life support plus additions to your suit/ship/gun (try that without running out of inventory space.. and each exosuit slot is progressively more expensive)

Oh, ya, the ExoSuit upgrades... now you have to find drop pods on the planets to add more inventory slots. Now if you didn't google it, which would have shown you some youtube tutorials, you would have probably wasted a good amount of Iron and Platinum making the bypass chips to look for these things because you didn't know that the signal locators had a spencific pattern to them.

Even these signal locators work by chance... search for Transmission Signals and hope you find the result you want. Didn't find the Drop Pod? Go get some more iron/platinum for a bypass chip and try again.. remember to use Transmission Signals!

Now, I'm putting a bad spin on this, and I'm not trying to say don't get the game.. I still enjoy the graphics and the music, but I will probably play Minecraft long after I've put this one on the shelf.

Given what I've heard others say, and what most of the commuinity was expecting, I'm not going to recommend this game as per this review... But all in all it's not a bad game, just could have been a lot better, and it sure had the potential to be.
