To all my friends on Steam. My Steam account was hacked a few days ago. As a result, many of my friends received bogus messages from me with an erroneous link to follow. I apologize to those people If you clicked on the link, your account could have been hacked as well. Yesterday, I changed my Steam password as well as the email account password tied to my Steam account. I also reported this to Steam Support. I received a return message from Steam Support stating that they had not seen any suspicious activity from my account since I changed the password. Hopefully, all is well with my account now. Besides the messaged, the hacker also blocked as many of my friends as possible. I'm in the process of unblocking and resending friend requests to everyone. Again, I'm very sorry for any trouble this has caused anyone.

Dave you were hacked, someone logged into your account and tried to send bad links. Please reset your password and reach out to Valve support. Also I recommend adding two factor auth.
