A point&click adventure game with pixel-retro aesthetics, great sound design, interesting story and element of randomness to its days. This is a game that I originally wasn't sure about getting despite having liked every older "Don't Escape"-flash game but after trying it out, I can assure you it's an experience worth even non-discounted price for anyone who's a sucker for a puzzle-like slower paced adventure.

Every day is about finding solutions to help surviving the upcoming night's ordeal, with many different possibilities. Figure out information and deduct what are the correct materials to gather and install, what sort of protection and equipment will be needed and in what order. The time constraint is an ever pressing issue as the day has a limited amount of hours and your backpack's capacity finite but only certain actions will cost time so there's no oppressive need to rush and you can take your time to soak in the mood and atmosphere.

As far as I've played, the game won't let you bone yourself too badly by trying out stupid things. Autosaves are rather decent and all characters give out good hints on just what you can do to prepare for a given situation. There are a pair of "solutions" towards the end of the game that are hard to spot and/or probably not very obvious but honestly it's not too bad since pulling a perfect score isn't really the point of the game, more about doing your best with what you can get and praying it will be enough. All things considered it has good replay value despite being an adventure game.

If you feel like immersing yourself into a story about the literal world's end and aren't put off by pixel-style graphics, Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive is the one I'll wholeheartedly recommend.
