An awesome game for any 4X fan, especially those interested in science fiction and fantasy. Each of the factions is unique and interesting, and the addition of faction quest/story lines helps to distinguish this game from others in the genre. It has enough elements in common with games like Civ V to allow fans of those games to pick EL up easily, but enough new features to make it feel like a game that works excellently in its own right. The frequent free content updates are extremely welcome and help to make the game feel increasingly deep and interesting. Though there are certain features which are currently lacking - espionage and naval combat being the two most vital to me - I am confident that they will be adressed in future expansions or updates, and Amplitude Studios have an awesome level of community involvement and awareness of what fans are looking forward. Am looking forward to the first expansion, due soon, and would highly recommend to any turn based 4X stratagy fan :)
