Main features:
- Randomly generated maps (using a seed system)
- Hero units with unique abilities
- Massive hordes of enemies on 'Death Night'
- Age of Empires style tech progression
- Points of Interest (treasure) can be found while exploring the map

Cons:
- Can't really say right now as is early access, however:
* Pathing can be a bit janky
* No camera rotation can make building short things in front of tall things a little troublesome
* Inability to remove individual trees that are taking up a square in farm radius

My summary:
You start off with a few soldiers, a few peasants, and your HQ. There are monsters (zombie-ish) in the wilds, and every few nights, they gather a horde to attack your base, and not just 10 or 20, but hundreds! I've managed to get a horde of over 1,000 so far, but it is brutal!

In short: If you got the game 'Banished' and crossed it with 'State of Decay' and 'Age of Empires'.
