Let me start off by saying this game is on my top 10 games of all time, i got a level of enjoyment out of it that i was missing for a long time. I have been a fan of the developer Supergiant Games since their first release Bastion, which was also on that top list. Highly recommend checking their other 3 games, they all bring something unique to the table.

This review won't be too specific since i want people to experience this game with as little information as possible to be able to enjoy every little aspect of it. Hades is a roguelike game, a style that i honestly am not a big fan of, but every other aspect of this game got me hooked. The story of it is given in little bits of voiced dialogue, even though the dialogue interactions are short there is a HUGE amount of them in the game showing a lot of effort was put into the voice acting since there is dialogue for every little action you complete in the game, from purchases, having certain items on you to actions like completing a run without dying or getting hit, the amount is amazing.

The soundtrack is stellar, Darren Korb makes soundtracks since their 1st game that i always keep on my music player to simply enjoy the different moods. The art has that style made signature by Jen Zee on the 1st release that now when you see a Supergiant game you can recognize it visually immediately, its a style so vivid, i love it. The gameplay is hard to talk without giving much detail so i will just say that there is a great amount of variation that you can play around and make your runs different with the combos you can do, the combat system itself is not that complex but it can play in a lot of different ways.

I noted both Darren Korb and Jen Zee by name but let me be clear, this is a Supergiant Games release, there is always the people that end up being the faces of their departments, it's a trend in the industry for a reason but my love goes to all the people in the studio for making this great games =)

The final 2 notes i leave in this review is if you ever decide to purchase and play it, please keep going after the apparent ending since there is an epilogue giving it a "proper" ending, most of the people i talked with that played it missed that extra =/ It's also a game that i recommend going for 100% completion
since like i said previously, the story/info is given in little bits and EVERYTHING has a little dialogue associated with it, even the extra stuff.
