Early Access Review
Its a pretty awesome game, but the problem with these indie games is... as the developers make money they start cranking out new graphics. So those of us who played the game with perfect frames in the beginning can no longer play at all. So now with the prices of graphics cards its just gonna gather dust until I forget i even own the game. Don't even bother trying to lower the graphics. It looks worse than anything I've ever seen. SO... If you cant play this game at recommended settings, don't even bother. Its a real Shame. It was a great alternative to 7days to die.

I appreciate a good story, but I really just play x3 for the sandbox feature. So my biggest complaint is the extremely limited "starts". Im sure there are plenty of unlockables after the plot like every other X game, but I opted for the custom start. I really appreciate being able to nit-pick things but its almost overwhelming with the toggleable options in custom.

I would have really like a short help function displayed over things like "xenon hub" and "terran" thingy. options were "mission" "yes" "no" something like that. I have no clue what it was so I left a few things at default. The minor factions like dukes, terracorp, etc can be friendly, neutral, hostile. I never knew much about them or even cared so I left them at neutral. I typically play Argon, so I quickly became confused why they are shooting at some of the minor races. It freaks me out a little when I see a big fight and no one is red to me. It just feels strange. Hopefully over time with the dynamic relations it will make more sense. Which by the way is one of my favorite additions so far.

This is the first X game I actually felt was worth playing as vanilla. I did immediately add scripts etc when I began, but I have slowly started turning them all off because its just that good by itself. It really is worthy of a near perfect game. It does lack severely in the game starts though. Which is all I can honestly complain about thus far.

I had spent unspeakable hours into most of the X games including rebirth (unfortunately). I, like many other saw the sharp downward spiral of the X universe and had nearly given up all hope of anything beating Albion Prelude until now. I think if Ego releases another X game that even remotely resembles this quality, im gonna be all over it. Get back to your roots that is X3, and you will keep your fans devoted for many years to come.

I highly recommend FL and it has officially replaced Albion Prelude as my favorite X game.

extremely old school. love it to death. better than duke nukem but a bit shorter. still provides more average game hours than ones today. spend 8 hours average on todays games. spend 16+ on this one.
