Awkward, ugly interface and a terrible inventory system; Backpack freezes your character into a catatonic pillar, handling items is awkward, everything feels robotic and unnatural. The underwater seaview looks awful, empty, neither realistic nor appealing. Too many critters bugging you all the time. The whole thing doesn't feel natural at all. After having enjoyed Stranded Deep for more than 2000 hours, I can only say that this new game has a long way to go before it can even stand in it's shadow.

Not bad, although I agree with the critics who say the wh@rish look is not appropriate for her. Developer should revert to her innocent looks with glasses and get on with the story. It's precisely these innocent looks which make the whole story titillating.

Difficult puzzles, and no auto-solve. There is help in the shape of a magnifying glass function to assist you in finding even the most difficult to spot butterflies, but even with this help it's a tedious and time consuming process. By the time you finally found your last butterfly, your appetite for pretty pictures is near gone.
The good news is that, contrary to what I thought earlier, there IS a gallery (mountain icon next to the settings button) so you don't have to go through the rather tedious process of puzzling every time you want to see your beautiful art pictures, and the art is very good, very good indeed. Still wouldn't recommend because of the laborious puzzles. Some butterflies are so small and cleverly hidden that they are almost impossible to spot, like they are wearing ghillie suits in a haystack. If that's your thing, go ahead, you'll love this game. If not, you'll find these puzzles a bit too tedious.

No idea why people seem to love torturous experiences like this. Being chased by a monstrous spider thing through dark machine rooms still might be considered fun, if it looks graphically good and with all this machinery, kind of dark atmospheric, but, despite the captivating storytelling, this is not a "fun" game. It's a nightmarish circus stunt ride full of nasty tortures. You climb deadly ladders and high cranes jumping from one death platform to another, breaking your neck countless times in the process. You fall to your death, burn, drown, choke and starve, and later on this hellride deteriorates into a terrifying claustrophobic nightmare where the game forces you into the nastiest creepiest confined spaces you can think of, set up to die one horrible death after another in tightly flooded underwater death traps. If all that sounds like your idea of fun..........go ahead and play this game. I don't think I'll ever touch it again.

Great show. The Stream window where you collect likes is a bit overly present and should be made smaller and less conspicuous, but apart from that, it’s a great ride. Would be even better with a Gallery option where you choose the show you like and switch camera views just like in the Live event itself.

Good atmospheric BDSM story, but there is hardly any sex worth mentioning in it.

While the story itself and Julie’s psychological experiences are excellently written, the scarce sex scenes are casually mentioned and coldly described like in a dull newspaper report.

Becomes unplayable after 15 minutes due to extreme lag. Once zombies start to spawn in larger numbers, FPS drops to about 2 frames a second.

Almost identical to one of their previous games "Shark Attack Deathmatch 2", but intenser, more realistic and graphically more impressive. The swim physics have improved much. The feeling of being under water is much more real than in SADM2. The female intercom voice is also a nice addition and adds the touch of someone friendly sharing your adventure, I always like that in games, to not only have enemies but friends as well, even if it's just a voice over an intercom.

That being said, it's still nothing more than the arcade shooter it used to be. The map, although good looking, is fairly small, and there is little to no story. It looks great, it's visually very impressive, but it's no more than an underwater shooting gallery. Once you shoot all the enemies in a specific dive, the dive session stops and gives you the play results with an option to upgrade your gear. No story, no mysteries, no discovery of secrets in gloomy wrecks, nothing really than bang bang shooting sharks and eels. That's it. But in all fairness, what they did, they did good.

I think it's a good buy on a Steam sale for half the retail price. I also encourage to support the devs, because they seem to have great plans with this game, and it could be a stepping stone towards something great, but it needs more content. It needs bigger maps, it needs mysteries, wrecks, loot, findings, plots, and it needs time and space to develop a real story. You don't go scuba diving just to shoot sharks, you wanna explore, observe, wonder, discover, float, and dream. Let's hope "Death in the Water 3" will be just that exceptional diving game we are all looking for.
