Almost never connects. Same with the prequels that I already own. Love it. Refund

Absolutely loved it. Especially the second half where it ramps up the horror. And that final chapter! Just chef's kiss.

Did this playthrough as Emily. I played with the old school puzzle setting and the puzzles were just the right amount of challenging but I never got stuck on them. Loved exploring the mansion. The combat was quite fun, although more so in the second half with more weapons and throwables available. Granted, the melee is kinda wonky and best avoided since the game gives you enough throwables and ammo to not need it much.

I have a 1070 with an i7-6700K @ 4.00GHz and stuttering was very infrequent and over within a second. Loved the graphics, especially the gorgeous environments, even though the faces are a bit stiff. But I'm not gonna cry about a game not having photo real faces like some do in these reviews

Not sure why its gotten all the hate. Support a fun survival horror game without microtransactions and no bloat to increase runtime. Looking forward to my eventual second playthrough with Edward.

I thought the claims about the bad leveling system were exaggerated, but I was wrong. My characters who had been using melee the ENTIRE TIME suddenly stopped gaining levels in their weapons for a weirdly long time. Guy was sitting at level 3 axes for forever. And I was even doing extra fights by looking around the world. Then I get to the first boss and the majority of their hits are hitting him for a whopping ZERO damage. In a game where you're supposed to gain xp by using specific weapons and skills, my dudes who had been doing melee with the same weapon the ENTIRE GAME can't even hurt the FIRST boss.

I did some research on it and apparently they need to get a minimum number of hits on these early game monsters per fight to keep leveling. So basically I need to have one dude do all of the killing per random fight in order to keep leveling melee, while everyone else sits around jerking off and defending against monsters they can one shot. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'll pass or just use the cheaty booster I guess

Tried this bad boy during the free weekend. Sat on the opening loading screen for 4 minutes, shut her down. Booted it up again and went to the toilet to evacuate my bowels. Returned to the computer 22 minutes of excruciating pain later. Still loading. Suppose I won't be buying it.

At least my anus isn't bleeding as profusely as usual

Feels like the same kind of game as Stick of Truth, but with enough to differentiate itself. Combat is quite fun, and the addition of difficulty levels is very welcome. While the town is similiar, it is also expanded with more buildings and locations than the first game. Overall the game has the same kind of South Park humor and subtle messages that you'd expect from the show.

It dragged on for a few hours longer than it needed to, as i was fully leveled and upgraded quite a bit before the end. Also wish there was a bit more customization for leveling and progression, but those are my only real complaints.

Pick it up and enjoy it.

This game is truly unique and addictive. I played 45 hours in 3 and a half days. I rarely play games for over 40 hours over the course of my entire time owning them. This game currently sits as my 7th or so most played game on steam.

Its a mix of roguelike, turn based, real time, and offensive tower defense. You start in a room with a crystal. You must find the exit to the floor you are on (there are 12 floors in total) by opening doors. Opening doors cause you to gain resources for buiding turrets and generators and other machines, but doors also cause monsters to spawn. So there's real risk/reward in play. Do you open more doors or go out the exit you just found?

It is extremely difficult at first, but watching some lets plays or experimenting will help you learn and become skilled enough to succeed on the more basic escape pods (a set of rules and general set up for the playthrough). I've seen people complain about it being all RNG because each floor is randomly generated and you might find the exit on the very last door, but I think they missed the point. It's about making the best of the situations you are put in. Just like rolling dice in a board game, you make do with what you have and find a way to win. Its exhilarating and extremely rewarding. Buy it and have a great time.
