Totally recommend. The new engine has made Quake fun, smooth. I never enjoyed it before. Now, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Nightdive has done great job updating.

Just finished. One of the very few I have ever finished on my own with no walkthough, forum, or Youtube help, And that's because most games are too hard, too easy, boring, etc. The last one I finished was Flashback, the Amiga version. Limbo just about perfect. Mood, sound, mechanix, time, puzzle complexity, juuuuust right! Very impressed with this game. I recommend this to all.

Just finished single player campaign andhere is my quick review.

Wow...that was actually fun! I don't finish many games. I'm no FPS legend, so I found the game challenging enough and story interesting and enough to keep me playing. The graphics are excellent and paint a beautifully ruined cityscape. The mechanics of movement and fighting are not difficult. Enemy placement can make certina parts challenging. There are a few jump moments, but not many. Most enemies can be dispatched wilth little effort but you do need to keep a watch on ammo at times. You will have to drop your melee weapon to use either gun. There are plenty of melee hand weapons from planks and pipes to hammers and axes to pickup along the way. The PDA will inform you of the each new weapons abilities. The axe is best, but slow, for dispatching most enemies unless you meet 2 or more, then you're best off using a gun.

I did have 2 issues in the middle of the game...I had been playing for about 2 hours when after reaching the part in the game where you must not be seen in sunlight, the game slowed down to Matrix slow motion and my only recourse was cntrl+alt+del out. I tried reloading and the game would not load after selecting 'Continue'. Several reboots later still no luck. The good news is, programmers did allow for loading of Chapters and I was able to restart the chapter. After doing that, the game ran smoothly and I did not have any other issues to the end, though I did have to replay fromthe beingging of the chapter.

Puzzles were numerous with most being very easy to figure out. I was not stuck by any puzzle though I did have to "Re-try" several quite a few times to reach certin checkpoints. Puzzles range from decoding locked doors navigating a particular scene a certain way. Puzzles were logical with no shopwstoppers.

An interesting note, while most of the game is played form the perpective our good doctor, there is a section where you must pilot a small wheeled drone to carry out certain tasks, and it was a welcome break in the middle ofthe game.

To wrap up:
Graphics A+
Story B+
Gameplay B+
Voice Acting B
Puzzles B

I definitele recommend it.

Never played anything like this. Wonderully brilliant.Provocative. Smooth. Excellent voice-over. I really like this game. So different from anything else out there. It does what true "ART" is supposed to do...evoke emotion.
