Game sucks. I'm fairly decent at FPS's but this one is just unforgiving. You die too easily and one simple mistake takes you to a point where you don't even wanna play anymore. It's reminiscent of the movie Groundhog Day. So much repetition and not enough content. Don't waste your money. Plenty of better games out there.

First off, let me start by saying I wouldn't pay any more than 10 bucks for this game. I think it's around there now so perfect...do it.

I played this game straight through for 2 hours just now. It's a short game but has a lot of feeling and emotion behind it. I grew up in an old house always wondering what previous generations who lived there were like. Hard to imagine that strangers used to lived there who cared for it as much as we do. This game kinda scratches that itch.

Now for the game itself, it's broken down into 4 chapters each one going back farther in time. It's already been mentioned that you play a blind lady who uses other acute senses to "see". Mainly hearing of course with a walking stick that creates sounds to momentarily "illuminate" your surroundings. You can use that stick as much as you like. I've always had sight but I imagine this was an exaggeration of what being blind might actually be like.

As for the red "being", I actually only encountered it once. The first time where you have no choice. In the back of my head I kept waiting for it to reappear but it never did...well I don't want to ruin the story so I'll stop there.

Anyway, overall it is a neat game that is an escape from the rest of the games that we're so used to playing. I thought it was a very original idea that was well executed. Could it have been better? Yes, but after looking at the credits and seeing how small a team worked on it I think it was done beautifully. I had a wonderful evening playing it through.

More of a story than a game, but so beautifully done I can't do anything but wholeheartedly recommend it. To be honest, I bought it because I thought to myself "Yay! Another Vanishing of Ethan Carter" and though parts of the game were similar, it was in its entirety a unique game. The art is beautiful. The soundtrack soothing. The house is every childs dream and the story, though sad, touches you in ways that you can relate and others that you can't. Love love love!

I'm someone who grew up playing adventure games by Sierra, Lucas and Westwood studios so none of the new blockbusters really impress me. I prefer games that touch the heart and this one does it.

The price may seem steep at $20 (current steam price) but it's worth it. Just think of how quickly you blow through a round of drinks on a Friday :P That's how I justify one off purchases like these :)

10/10

Man...I grew up on Sierra games. Out of the Kings Quest series, KQ5 was the first one I played but definitely not the last. I played through the previous ones shortly after and the newer ones as they were released, except for the one that shall not be named. I remember the day my mom brought home Kings Quest 6 which would ultimately become my favorite. I was 9.

Anyway, this game brought all of those childhood memories back full swing, with references to puzzles and stories I remember from over 25 years ago. From a nostalgic perspective, this game is perfect. Nothing short of it. Someone who doesn't know the series might argue, but I think anyone who grew up loving this series like I did will enjoy it. It even got several tears out of me which is a tough thing to do.

Ken and Roberta Williams will always be the pioneers of gaming as we know it, but the Odd Gentlemen really does a great job paying tribute. Buy this game if you're thinking about. Especially if your memories are similar to mine.

TL;DR: 10/10. Perfect.

This game is excellent! 2016 GOTY if you ask me. I haven't been this impressed since Bioshock Infinite. Granted, I was not entirely thrilled when it was first released and had all of those issues, but I bit my tongue and lowered the graphics down a bit. Very HIgh on my 980ti made this game perfectly playable so I went for it. Some people have said that the world isn't as "immersive" as the original Dishonored and though I tend to agree, it really doesn't take away from this game at all. The plot was beautifully executed and you really feel for the main character (Emily in my case). I played the game all the way through without killing anyone and let me tell you that made it quite challenging. I played the original in psychopath mode and decided to try something different this time around. Looking forward to playing this again as Corvo once my 1080 Ti arrives next week.

Anyway, if you're having doubts, don't. This is a beautiful game and it is obvious how much care and effort went into it. Find it for cheaper if you want, but please support it because this series deserves to live on.
