I love this game, with it's quirky take on the French Revolution and it's often bizarre card building, and honestly I do play it a lot..

However...

The combat system can be a bit Janky at times, and often you need to level up a great deal to be able to actually use some of the better cards.

However it is a joy to play more for the Lore and I hope that it gets expanded on or... extra DLC.

Unlike a lot of Rogue-lites I feel that DRG:S needs a lot of rebalancing, currently it is very hard to actually get anywhere, often a large swarm will appear before you have had chance to deal with the first one, plus the practically overwhelming amounts of bugs you have to deal with at once makes it often a case of you are going to lose more than actually gain any real progress

That said however it is a fun game, and given early access I am hoping that the devs will balance this going forwards, and I recommend this to anyone that likes the Rogue-lite genre

If it implements the following changes it would be even better

o Give the Player a better choice of Artefacts
o make the bugs swarms at lower danger levels less oppressive
o give the various overclock options more variety

currently it's very hard to win any run as the Gunner or Engineer until you unlock a lot of there better options

Kill it with Fire 2 is essentially the same as Kill it with Fire, and if you loved that game, then you will love this.

There are many new types of spiders, crazier weapons and combos, plus the ability to modify and upgrade weapons as you go, which is a nice bonus, given the price and given the fact it's pretty addictive

I would recommend it 10/10

Ok, so lets get all the bad stuff out of the way first...

o The game still crashes a lot
o The game feels like a downgrade from Mortal Kombat 11
o Invasions mode is annoying, drags out a lot of time to earn skins and the grind is awful
o There's much less customisation than Mortal Kombat 11

Ok.. phew with that out of the way though, it's actually a game which is fast, fun and the Kameo system is very much a love or hate scenario, what actually needs to happen here is for the following to be implemented

o 1 v 1 mode for people that don't want cameos
o 2 v 2 Tag Battle back, as it feels as fast as MK9 so why not add some of those modes
o Do away with all the Invasions Grind and bring back the Krypt
o Stop being overly aggressive with micro transactions
o Fix the Kombat League disconnecting crap and make it actually stable for people on Wi-Fi or a less than Optimal Setup

Despite all these problems though it's mortal kombat and it's very much a guilty pleasure, buy it when on discount as it's not worth full price still

Very Arcady and you will love it if you like collecting tanks

While it is based on the excellent Vampire Survivors formula, it adds different elements which actually make it better and more addictive to play, and while the Renfield film was pretty bad, the game really does make up for it

What appears to be an incredibly simple game, is extremely addictive and easily worth the price

I now totally love this game, I didn't for a long while as the civilizations felt too samey the often getting crushed by the French was annoying and the balance was off by quite a lot

With the advent of the Sultan's DLC, we have more factions that fit well into the meta, we have variation factions that take aspects of there main faction and alter them, Xhu and Jeanne being my favourites

work picking up now while it is on sale for sure

It's essentially Pokemon with a twist, the soundtrack feels very 80's and the sort of stuff you could just sit back and listen to for a long while

Essentially this is Left 4 Dead in the world of Aliens but done in 3rd person and has cool eeries moments and a decent soundtrack

Customisation on weapons really helps, the classes each have a role that is both intuitive and fun with the heavy weapons options being honestly some of the most fun I have had in a while.., the Minigun being a great option
