I'm absolutely loving it so far to the point that I'd recommend this. Nioh 2 fixes some of the weaknesses Nioh 1 had (like duels against NPCs not feeling very fair even in a Souls-Like sense) and it has introduced new enemies, new weapons, and some more interesting level layouts. Even if a map is revisited from the previous game at any point, it has been redone from scratch and has new nuance.

The online stuff is a lot smoother and easier to get going than the previous as well. Ochoko cups are plentiful for calling people in, as you can get 1-3 or so from the dead graves of other players to the point that you can easily have surplus.

If you aren't really feeling it yet it might be because you haven't unlocked combos for your weapon, or maybe you haven't found the stance that fits your playstyle yet. This game has possibly the deepest combo customization out there, with maybe the only contender being Absolver.

Looks amazing, sounds amazing, and has a more interesting story. This time you can play as a customized character instead of William from Nioh 1. Much appreciated and there's awesome gear to choose from.
