This is one of the most incredible games I've ever played and it's not even done yet.

On paper Master Duel is probably the best way to get into YGO. The game has a lot of tutorial content to ease you into the various mechanics and once you're ready to play against actual people the game is generous with giving you currency starting out meaning you are able to easily make a competitive deck to dive into ranked with. Unfortunately Master Duel is flooded with bots who will AFK for about 5 minutes before the game makes them auto-surrender. I got to Diamond V pretty quickly because about 80% of my matches were against bots who wouldn't do anything. I was spending more time waiting on these bots than I did actually playing the game and I just gave up.

Master Duel is great and I really wanted to put more time into it but the botting issue makes the game absolutely unplayable at the moment. Definitely not worth your time until Konami does something about the bots.
