Just an absolute hidden gem of a dungeon crawler.
A broken build simulator hidden in a roguelike package.

Fantastic progression and definitely has that "1 MORE RUN" addictive style of gameplay.

Utterly fantastic, praise ULF!

It's Skyrim with a space theme....

It's just utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they still running on that antiquated piece of ♥♥♥♥ engine (+12 years old now?) they've had for years. It's really showing it's age. Especially with this game, it's a constant load-fest:
Get into ship? Load.
Get into space? Load.
Land on a planet? Load.
Into a bunker/door/shop/city/etc: LOAD LOAD LOAD.....

Even comparing it to Skyrim or the fallout games; at least those had a world map you could walk around in without having to load (if you didn't go into a dungeon/city or shop). Here it's loading for EVERY thing.
I'm having fun but jeezus h on a pony it has more loading points than the original half life had.

And if you compare it to say BG3; you can really see the cracks showing in terms of NPC behaviour and how it feels dated in terms of how NPCs react. BG3 has made these interactions between the player and the NPCs into almost cinematic moments where the characters you interact with feel alive. Starfield has the age old Bethesda "I'm dead inside" staring NPCs.

I'm sure modders can make it better but that's still just dressing up a turd and calling it art...

Baldur's gate 2 is probably one of the best games I've ever played.
I never imagined getting another RPG that would replicate that the feeling I had playing BG2 as a teenager.
And although I'm still far away from finishing this game; it's already the best game I've played this year...

The voice acting and dialog animations (how the NPCs behave) is probably the best I've ever seen.
It's just very cinematic and it makes all the characters come alive. Now this extra impressive since every single NPC you can talk to has voice lines AND you can talk to all the animals AND the corpses (using spells/abilities).
Especially if you compare it to the blank stares of the Bethesda games where the mouth just moves but the actual NPC just stands there, robotic like.

Larian deserves all the praise for this game.
BG3 is fantastic!
GOTY 2023!

Everything you could've asked for from a 40k Vermintide sequel.
Awesome soundtrack, great visuals, satisfying (Vermintide inspired) gameplay and one of the (if not THE) best depictions of a bolter in any videogame.

Can't wait to see what they do with it in the future (Chaos faction expansions and a playable Skitarii character PLZ)
