Ive been playing Guitar for 3 years professionally and Rocksmith is probably one of my favourite ways to practice/jam, it turns tedious exercises into fun little rhythm games and it also has a massive DLC list of song tones and tabs to jam out to guitar hero style.

My only real complaints are only 6 string support for guitar and 4 string for bass, also a-lot of the song tabs are inaccurate and the tones can be all over the place in terms of quality. But if you dont use the learn a song its not much of an issue.

That said if youre an experienced guitarist you wont get much out of it besides a few hours of screwing around with various modes.

Not as good as a game like carmageddon but the gameplay loop is satisfying and it handles well enough to be a good time killer when you want something easy to unwind with. Recommend picking it up on sale.

Only buy it if you're a fan of Homestuck/Hiveswap and want to support the series; the game itself has about 15 minutes of content and both the art and writing are incredibly weak. It feels like a terrible attempt at a fan game and has no character or depth to add to the Hiveswap universe, that said It did make me giggle and its only $0.99 so its got that going for it i guess.

A remake of possibly my favourite game of all time. AKA: The reason i'm such a nerd.

The original Battlezone Combat Comander (2) came out in 1999 and was miles ahead of its time.
It features intuitive RTS mechanics intergrated with a fun space tank FPS. Featuring a great story in which you fight a terrifying alien threat on distant and bizarre planets. If you're a sci-fi fan and love video games then i can whole heartedly recommend this to pretty much any type of gamer.

The Good!:

Graphics!
This remaster brings the old 1999 classic to more modern standards, and concidering the age of this game and its engine it manages to pull of some impressive visual fidelity with a beautiful atmosphere in each planet/terrain and amazing detail on every model its breathtaking to see such a classic game look this good.

Mod Support!
Although i personally haven't attempted to mod this game since 2002 when I was a wee lad. There are still some amazing obvious and (long) requested improvements with the steam workshop intergration and way mods are written into the game.

Multi-player!
I actually reinstalled BZ2 1999 in anticipation for the remake and i was pleasantly suprised at the fact there are people still playing this ancient game! but now with a full remaster its great to see all the community come back and all the newcomers find their place in a thriving community!

SpaceTanks!
Hovertanks in space! not much has changed in terms of gameplay but its still fun as balls to zoom across the map in a hovertank blowing up aliens! with weapons ranging from a basic minigun to a giant ball of lightning that fry's everything its all fun to use and fight against (maybe with the exception of the archer units but thats another story)

The Meh!:

Audio!
Whilst the audio does sound crisper with the sound effects, music and atmosphere all great, unfortunately the voice acting quality is all over the place whilst sometimes immersive and sounding great can randomly cut to sounding like it was voiced by someone in their basement with a $2 mic. Whilst i understand audio quality has improved vastly since the time it was made and the fact it would be impossible to re-voice everything it can still be quite jarring

The Bad!:

Cutscenes/loading screens!
the original artwork for loading screens and cutscenes remain the same tiny resolution with some minor background thrown in to mask it.

AI!
The AI pathing although better then in 1999 is still awfull and its common to see AI get stuck eachother, the terrain and well pretty much everything.

RTS Mechanics!
the RTS side of things in the battlezone series has always felt lacking, and here is no different. missing some basic commands such as "attack and move" or a way for units to "patrol" an area it adds alot more micro managment to your units then should be nescecary, especially concidering most of the time you just want to roll in with your army and attack personally.

TLDR: The game has been given a huge facelift and still manages to prove that it is quite possibly my favourite game of all time, that said i'm not completely blinded by nostolgia and i can see alot of issues that would annoy most people.

I still have to give this game a huge thumbs up and a huge thank you to rebellion and bigboat for bringing this classic game back. <3

TL;DR: A decent remake weighed down by Activisions greed. 2/5

A remake of COD4 sounds like it came straight from one of my wet dreams. It's done really well too, the visuals are done well enough to make it look like it belongs on the current gen, From intense firefights in the desert streets in the middle east, to the eerie atmosphere of Ukraines abandoned city it all looks top notch. The sound effects have also been bumped up conciderably while still holding true to the original. Guns still sound as iconic as they first did in 2007, It all sounds crisper and clearer and you can tell there has been a-lot of love put into this title.

The overall gameplay plays the same as Cod4 did back in 2007 and it all feels really smooth, responsive and what you would expect from a modern shooter title. The multi-player also adds new challanges, finally prestige for the PC version of Cod4, a bunch of new camo's and all the classic stuff you got from the original multi-player. Unfortunately this is where the negatives start to pile up and cracks really show.. We are now greeted with the "depot" which is basically the same pay to win bulls**t from the last few COD titles. IMO this does not belong in a $70-90 game period but it is a huge kick in the face here to all the old COD4 veterans. This is the kind of crap thats seen in free to play games and its increasing presence in full priced titles is concerning. There are a few arguments that can be made in favor of this mechanic, but honestly it's just a half assed money grab thrown in a classic title that has no place to be there. The other negatives that effect multi-player is the lack of dedicated servers on PC, matchmaking works fine for consoles and games with a high playerbase but the fact this game is shoved in with COD infinite something (never going to install it) and the fact that they are pushing new titles every year to thin out their playerbase as much as possible. Finding a server with a low latency is basically impossible without any form of dedicated server system and jumping into multi-player you are guarenteed to lag your ass off.

My last and biggest gripe with this game is, as stated above that this game is shoved in with another COD game that no-one wanted. If you purchased the special edition of infinite warefare chances are you only did it for the remastered version of COD. It's such a shame because this remaster is really well done, it looks beautiful, sounds amazing and is a huge nostolgia trip for me personally. But the unashamed cash grabs by activision make me loathe actually playing it, you're better off just playing the original if you want a Cod 4 experience on PC.
