I tried to like this game, but after reinstalling it to see if it got any better after its initial launch, it hasn't. Graphics are great as they are up there with NFS: Heat, but the gameplay is a meh at best to infuriating at its worst. I play most racing games at 'medium' graphics settings to give my system a chance and there was a bit of frame lag. Switching off motion blur made it better. However when I returned to the game a week or so later, the lag was abysmal. Switching to 'low' graphics and trying to lower the graphics resolution made no difference whatsoever and for that, I'm uninstalling for the last time.

I'm going to have to give this a low 'Not Recommended,' but that doesn't mean I disliked all of it.
Things I like about the game:
- The graphics quality is really nice.
- I like the fact that your car with all its details included are shown in the cutscenes.
- The real-time scenes with actors and tuning/car world celebrities mixed with the computer-animated is great.
- The characters Amy, Travis and Manu are pretty cool.
- It was a real surprise to see Manu being played by the actor Howard Charles who played Porthos in the BBC's 2014 adaptation of 'The Three Musketeers.'

Things I didn't like and ultimately turned me off and uninstall the game:
- The visual customisations in terms of body mods is a bit limited; I expected more given the official blurb.
- Trying to create a visual look with vinyls using a controller is difficult, almost infuriating because of how both numb and sensitive the system is. Maybe I'm doing something wrong; my sensitivity could be at the wrong setting or my controller is too skittish but I commend the players who have created awesome looking wraps with such a sensitive system.
- The driving is borked. Cars tuned for grip won't turn unless you enter the corner at a snail's pace in which it's easy for your opponents to overtake you, and cars tuned for drifting want to do their own thing. I've watched a few how-to videos on how to master drifting in Need For Speed (2015) but it's still laborious to try and get the car to drift with speed. The system is so difficult even the AI has a hard time. Again, I could be doing something wrong but as a relative newbie to the revamped franchise (I started from Need For Speed: Underground all the way to Shift) it puts me off wanting to continue with the story knowing I'm going to have to battle my cars in order to get to the numerous destinations.
- The game kinda throws you in without any guidance. Yes, there's 'tips' but nothing really beats an instructional video that you can replay over and over again.

All I can really say is if you want to try the game out, please do; the graphics are superb, the story is alright and the real-time actors and celebrities really make the game. But I say to be cautious about the handling system or you many end up spinning around in circles out of frustration.

A brilliant game; fun, funny, competitive and addictive, which can then translate into annoying, but that's a part of the story. A great way to pass the time, and strengthen finger tendons!
