What a fine game. Also, you can remap the damn keys. This is how it's done, Japan. Take your unmappable arrow keys and like... shutup.

Three things:

1) Great port of a really fun game! Far superior to the PS2 one. You can configure the screen size and rotation and disable graphics smoothening. No noticeable input lag, only noticeable awesomeness.

2) Why the hell can you define every key EXCEPT THE DAMN MOVEMENT KEYS?! What the hell even ARE player 2's movement and start keys if you're sharing a keyboard?! Why can't Japanese game developers figure out that there are people out there who don't want to move with the arrow keys on the right side of the keyboard? Do they just assume that every PC gamer is left handed?! WASD has been the staple for OVER TWENTY YEARS.

If you own a working controller (I don't), you'll be fine.

3) Mushihimesama Futari Steam port when? We want more of your games, Cave!!

EDIT: ATNSOFT's Key Remapper is a perfect lagless key remapping solution that works fine with this game. You can configure it on a program by program basis too. Just wanted to mention it and I'm having a lot easier of a time now.

Uh, whoah, it's Picross!! The best game EVER OK?!?!

Its free, its got some fun, relatable pictures (for gamers), its got a puzzle editor, and I really like the way it handles the numbers and how it greys them out appropriately as you flag spaces. It makes looking at large puzzles very readable without getting lost. My biggest gripes though are that the puzzles don't have a timer that keeps track of how long it takes you to finish a particular picture, and there seems to be a high number of symetrical puzzles.

Not the best Picross I've played, but it's a great entry point for those curious about Picross. Give it a shot, even if you're already familiar with Picross, it's more puzzle goodness to get hooked on!

This game is amazing, except for one huge problem that ruins everything for me...

Why can I not map movement to WASD? Why are the movement keys stuck on the arrow keys? Who the hell wants to suddenly start using their other hand to move the ship? Going crosshanded to play a game is a great way to get cramps, and it hampers your movements which is important for a game like this.

I tried setting the fire buttons to the keypad, but then I have this huge chunk of the keyboard extruding to the left off of the pull out keyboard tray of my desk, and it can't budge at all, leaving me to sit in a really uncomfortable position. Plus, it's just awkward having my hands so close together.

What the hell is wrong with you developers?! Why can we map every button EXCEPT THE DIRECTIONAL KEYS?! Why is PC the one exception to the rule where it's assumed that everyone is left handed?

Other than that, best shooter I played in ages. This is exactly how 2D shmups in 3D planes should be done. The soundtrack and action are top notch. I wish I could enjoy it to its fullest though...

I love this game. Brings me back to my youth... I miss stuff like this.

Early Access Review
A complete clone (right down to the graphics) of Herzog Zwei on the Sega MegaDrive, except, with online multiplayer and quicker gameplay.

I'd knock them down for ripping another game off directly, but seriously, they got it bang on with a game that's far more fun to play than the original. Can't go wrong with that!!

My only complaints are that you have to unlock all the basic modes, and the AI seems very very stupid and easy to defeat.
