very well made. evident the voice actors and writers were truly on-board with the project. Very fun to play with friends, although I await cross-platform with baited breath

I hated that they fired the writer basically at the end of the original cycle of this game's making, but I have to say not following the development was a great boon, there are admittedly things I don't like, but it's a worthy second addition

i sorta grew up with this game, and thus I have major nostalgia goggles, but the driving, the atmosphere, the music, and the jack spots all make this game my all time favorite racing game. The DLC not being buyable separately is bogus, but it does not sour the game.

Edit- 2025: This game requires EA launcher to be installed on your computer, which seems intent on impersonating malware, and it doesn't accept analog input, so have fun using any controllers that aren't a SNES controller. EA won't do better but I find myself wishing they would. I'll be buying a preowned copy on xbox 360.
