Honestly, after nearly 500 hours I could say, that this game has very toxic community and enormous amount of smurfs.

2016: Best survival game i've seen o.o

2024: I still think, that Rust is a best survival game, however it is anarchy basically, so you have to be strong mentally to play this game, especially when just starting out, because oh boy, you gonna die and lose all your loot numerous times, but eventually you will make it, if you are strong enough x) I do think, that game is not newbie-friendly, but starting your journey on low pop or PVE servers can help you better understand game mechanics and flow.
