It's still early so I might change my review later but so far not good at all. Getting horrible artifacting with HDR, so that was a bummer. I knew the story was probably going to be lackluster because Pearl Abyss, but holy hell is it boring AF. The voice acting is pretty bad, the script is just as stiff and lame as any quest in Black Desert, and honestly I couldn't get immersed in the world even. It looks pretty, sure, but it feels soulless.

What can I say, the storytelling in this game is phenomenal, the visual design is unreal (heh), the music is a masterpiece, the voice acting is incredible, and as someone who doesn't normally enjoy turn-based Final Fantasy-esq combat, the mechanics were so engaging and well done that I found myself wanting to grind out in new zones just to try out different builds.

I started playing after hearing all the hype around this game, and was afraid that I had ruined my chances to enjoy it due to the high bar. I can safely say it cleared it by miles.

Besides the targeting being laughably bad, the combat is fun, the systems are compelling, you DON'T need to spend tons of money to enjoy the game. It looks beautiful. Definitely worth playing if you're looking for an extremely solid classic sandbox MMO.

TIP: Find an active guild and participate in guild stuff! This is a CLASSIC SANDBOX mmo, meaning it's all about player-generated content (i.e. capturing territories, doing guild raids, pvp events, etc)

Unfortunately, I am changing my review AGAIN because Sony has decided to try and trick consumers into buying a product and then taking it away from them. I will not recommend a game from a publisher that treats the gaming business this way.

This game is amazing fun. I usually don't write reviews but if you have someone to play this game with, it's WELL worth the money! The devs keep adding more stuff too.

This game is so creative and the story telling is top notch! It's a refreshing change of pace from the normal games I play.

Super fun, easy to jump in and has a surprisingly high skill ceiling.
