I didn't expect to enjoy this game as much as I do, I've tried to get into it a few times in the past on various devices and wasn't able to start, recently got a steamdeck and it's been the main game I play on the device.
I love so much about this game, but the one thing I cannot look past is the shop and the free to play-esque model at play, as well as the time limited battle pass like system. Apart from those two points the game just feels nice and hits the same spot that animal crossing does.

I got destroyed near immediately and punished for not playing for a while, this is what I want. Perfect start.

I wouldn't recommend this game anymore now that FUNCOM is involved, waiting for the inevitable downfall and countless broken empty DLC.

Only recent game I've finished. Twice too.

This is about a cube, it's a tragic backstory where it's deleted, over and over again. Often replaced with another cube. It really makes the emotions swell up and cuts deep. Well made cube, it's very cube-y would recommend.

I may have the stupids.

Oh Earth Defence Force, what a special game series. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for these games, for good reason.

(This entry on PC allows for use of the mouse in the menus, gosh that made me happy. haha)

EDF 5 is a gem of a game, I've sunk far too many hours into it on PS4 and I'm happy to do it all over again here on PC, I would recommend you play this game with friends but you still can play alone and have a great time.
I have to say if you are somebody who cares about the graphics of a game, look past that. You won't regret it. You'll soon figure out that the game still pushes your beefy rig to it's limits anyway.

This game in the end delivers something lost to modern gaming, mindless fun, big stupid weapons and a screen full of enemies. I've had some of my best modern gaming experiences just messing around with friends playing 4.1 and 5. Just genuinely fun moments and good times to be had all around.

Now go on, get the game and stop reading reviews. You won't regret it.
