Dark souls is not a hard game. Don't get me wrong, (sometimes) you die a bunch. However, there's always something to learn from your death. Don't be afraid to die and lose a ton of souls either (it happens, and you'll get more I promise). That's dark souls in a nut shell. It's about patience and determination. This game has such a unique experience and some really in-depth and rewarding combat when you learn how to actually use it effectively. Take your time to understand the combat, don't think you'll just be able to jump in and kill every enemy in the game with your starter weapon. I'd honestly just recommend a guide for your first play-through, it'll help you out quite a bit. Also some advice for new players; talk to every single NPC, exhaust all dialogue, etc. I promise you it's worth it. This game is definitely as cool as it looks, and is absolutely worth playing.
