I've played Quake for about a year between 2010-2011. After that I was busy with playing other non-FPS games (besides some TF2). Starting in 2015 I have had many episodes of playing Quake for a few weeks and quitting thereafter.

Hopefully, I won't quit prematurely this time around and I'll get some skills in time for Quake Champions ;)
