Deus Ex is all it's cracked up to be, worth every penny you spend on it.

Running it on modern systems
  • Little to no setup is required, just follow this guide and you'll be set to go.
  • The pause menu and inventory screens may lag the game a little going into them, give it a moment and it will continue without issue

Role-playing
  • What skills and augments you choose will decide how you play the game, you can go through every level guns blazing, silently, or any mixture of both.
  • Augments can open up or cut off options for you, and their installation is permanent, so make sure you choose the one you want before you save your game.
  • I was expecting to be able to control where the story goes, but you are forced into one decision early on. I was a little disappointed, but you do get a choice of endings.
  • The three endings aren't Red Blue and Green, your final choice matters.

Fluff
  • The writing is fantastic, fun and engaging the whole way
  • The music, sounds effects, and voice acting is all fantastic
  • Graphics are what you would expect for a game of its age, but still looks fantastic
