I haven't played TF2 in years, but have been doing so for the Summer Sale event and it's honestly just as much fun as it was years ago. A true classic, that may have a few too many extras and additional items and systems now, but remains a joy to play underneath.

The basics of top-down shooting with some turrets to aid you are fun enough, but the gameplay really gets repetitive over time. Very little variety in enemy types means that once the last new enemy has been revealed you will be doing the same thing over and over again for far too many missions to complete the campaign.

There are a wide variety of ways to level up your character, but the options don't feel very meaningful and I don't believe they have any significant effect on how things play out.

Everything you loved about Cook, Serve, Delicious but with more variety. Much more variety. A few tweaks to gameplay and some welcome additions like warming stations go a long way.

A beautiful game - not just graphically, but story-wise as well. After about 15 minutes I was hooked and barely forced myself to stop playing a few hours later and wait for a second session to finish everything. Fantastic soundtrack that goes a long way toward setting the mood throughout.

The cartoonish graphics kept me from playing this one for a while, but they are actually perfect for it. While the game does become somewhat repetitive, it's short enough that I didn't mind too much. The costume and battle stamp system is a neat way to customize your party a bit within the confines of the theme. Dialogue is pretty entertaining throughout as you would expect from a Double Fine game.

I ended up enjoying things enough to dip back in and complete the separate DLC quest one the main story was done, and that's something I rarely end up doing with impulse buy sale purchases.
