So here is an interesting case study. Getting a match 3 game "wrong" is a challenge in of itself, however, this game has made it in all the most interesting ways. In general, the UI works fine, the pictures are pretty, and the only thing that tells us this is a mobile game is the fact that the boards don't completely exit the screen after being cleared. Then there is the match-3 aspect.

In most match-3 games, whatever you're matching has unique shapes to differentiate them. In this game there are colors so close in hue that it's nigh impossible to tell between them, and I'm not even colorblind. This also goes for the power-ups too, which are far too plenty; almost every color has it's own unique power-up sprite, which makes it confusing to remember what they actually do, and what color they are associated with (considering the gradients overlap). Not only that, but some of the power-up sprites, like scrolls, pages, and books, are recycled as other gameplay objects.

Oh, and the achievements are broken half the time.

This whole sum makes the game an interesting case study on what NOT to do with a match-3 game when it comes to game design, so if you're in to seeing for yourself how, and why, not to do what the devs have done, go ahead and indulge yourself, but if you're looking for a competent match-3 to kill time, this is not it.

So the short description of this game states that this game has "...polished match 3 gameplay...". So that was a lie. To be fair, match 3 is something that's not easy to get wrong, and the game functions as a Hunie-pop -style match 3 game needs to. To be fair, and that's it. Quite literally; there is nothing special here, BUT polished it is not. While in Hunie-pop you got nice sequential animation of clearing matches if your match resulted in multiple rows, in this game, you find it confusing to just your board basically refreshed, because there is no animation of the new gems dropping and clearing.

Further more, every animal has 3 stages, where you are reduced one power-up each, so that is the "difficulty ramp". Every set of 3 stages are the exact same, no difference in the gem -probability, or power-ups between them. No variations in board layout. Just the same 3 levels repeated over and over again. In conclusion, very uninspired, and NOT very polished gameplay.

For those looking for a mahjong solitaire, this is not that. While it does share the similarity of blocks on top blocking the ones underneath, that's where the similarities with basic mahjong solitaire ends. The "difficulty" seems to be based on the deal being real random, and you refreshing an impossible puzzle until you get a match. All understandable, and can be overlooked, but...

The "main menu" utilizes platformer controllers that can't be modified, and literally are the only time you need to touch the keyboard (outside of re-rolling the board, if necessary). And if you think "well, just use controller", that felt unresponsive at best, and simply not working most of the time. Not that I'd even consider playing this sort of game (with a timer, none the less) with anything else than a mouse. All of this makes the game feel VERY unpolished, and not ready for release.

As for the art, I like the pixel art style of the opponents (more artistic style than just the basic "anime CG" -style), but I can't help but notice that not all the gals shared the same "detication to source material" on the gallery art. And while I've noticed some say that "some of the girls are ugly", I've been around internet long enough to know that finding that out will yield refunds for those who are in to that stuff. Especially when the rougher and bulkier gals are the front-loaded ones.

Definite meh.

Yeah, this ain't it. I bought this out of curiosity, and don't feel any remorse from refunding this.

First of all, there is no rebinding for controls, that's the first one to be noted. Not only that, but the gameplay itself is floaty and boring. Everything feels like it's made of plastic, and the level and encounter design feels like there is no thought put in to it. The levels are there to "support a story", which, as you might expect, isn't very engaging from the start, and the dialogue literally interrupts what little gameplay there is. If I'd have to guess, there is not a single line of original code in this game, and it's frankensteined together from store bought scripts and templates, since everything feels to follow the design philosophy that as long as it does what it's supposed to on the lowest functional level, it's good enough.

Does the game have boobs and nudity? Yes, but so does the Internet, and with the latter you don't need to suffer trough menial tasks, and get better quality on the side. It seems like if the game has sex in it, the devs think you don't even need gameplay. I'm all for a raunchy shooter, but it has to be at least a little fun to actually play.

While the shooting mechanics, and the atmosphere of this game are on the point, the reason I bought this game was to play with a friend. Unfortunately, regardless of trying many workarounds (changing steam names, changing operating systems, checking firewalls, trying to find each other trough public matchmaking), we just can't connect to each other, and the game does not provide any sort of error message. Scouring all sorts of forums, informs us that we are not the only ones with with this issue, and I don't see the devs updating the game any more. Thus, as a coop game I truly can't recommend this game.

The classic Doom is one of those games that I always tend to return to. The game design still holds up to this day.

A tiny, simple, relaxing climbing game which only fault in my books is the fact that it eventually ended perhaps slightly too soon.

So, the game itself seemed interesting, but it's broken by the fact that there is not any possibility to customize your input. Not only is there no possibility to rebind your keys, the game assumes by default that you want to use a controller if such is attached. I personally found using the controller awkward to use, and would've liked to use the keyboard and mouse instead, but alas, if you have ANY controller attached, you MUST use controller, even if the game apparently would support two payers ONLY IF you have two controllers, the keyboard+mouse is not an option.

I asked if this feature would've been in progress of being fixed, but apparently the developer cares not of the forums of this game to even give a hint of a comment, thus, giving it a proper wait, I've come to the conclusion to refund this game before the refund window closes, as the controls makes the game unplayable for me.

So, the idea behind the game seems interesting, however the execution is very VERY lackluster.

First of all, the controls feel extremely unresponsive, and personally I've had my drives end on the fact that the car does NOT turn when I am doing nothing else but try to turn, the control rebinding is executed on standard Unity splashscreen, that results tehre being unsorted control namings that does NOT represent the terms used in game, the tutorial assumes you will use the default controls (because of course) and you can not bind acceleration ald/or boost to X-input trigger, because such keys are "buttons" and therefore "may not be bound to axis". The default keys for keyboard are WASD, when no mouse is used, thus making the logical choise the cursor keys (for right handed people).

But that's just the controls, what about the options? Well, all the options you are going to have is on that standard Unity splash screen that apparently does NOT remember the resolution you previously played with, so it needs to be set EVERY SINGLE TIME you start the game (that goes for the "quality" too, btw). And since the strongpoint of this game is the music, one would expect you to have volume controls? NO! No option to add or reduce any volume but to do so in the system mixer. Very intuitive, ain't it?

And what of the gameplay? Well, you will tap the boost button hoping that the car turns when you tell it to, on a flat surface with very rare ocasion of a ramp on your way. No variation in the speed adjustment, which should be the core of the game, considering the theme, and that is good, since "accelerating" does nothing, and you basically play the game with the "boost"

Bottom line, this game is basically a very bad advertisement for a good music that you can luckily buy outside of the game. I'd refund this but the amount I bought it was so trivial that I'll keep this to have a look IF there is some attempt to redeem the game. Even so, I feel I overpaid.

I didn't play the game too much due to the initial issues that surfaced in regards of the user experience. Let's start with the most glaring issue:

There is no key rebinding inside the game, and of the overlay, some controls can be changed, but others, like reload, can NOT be rebound. There are controls that are not listed, like "fullscreen" that is bound on n (why? Well, I don't know), shile some cotnrols are listed but not used (like "lean" and "aim"). That said, there isn't ANY audio level controls either (Firstly, Unity has built in Mixer now-a-days, second, the audio is obnoxiosly loud). In fact the only thing that the settings consist of is a Unity built in graphics quality setup, that is equivalent of not having any setup at all, to be honest.

Then there is the viewport. The game starts with a cutscene that sets premise for the scale of the dungeon. According to that, the viewport is attached to a hanging string between the characters legs apparently. Also, for some reason, experience is not gained by killing enemies, but by collecting glowing balls that the enemies drop... After their bodies disapear after a notable delay. This applies to chests too, that have a long opening animation, that you have to wait to end before you can pick up the contents. Why? Well, for no reason.

And what about the flashlight? Well, there is one, but it's attached to the player character, not the camera, therefore it only points the direction the character's feet are dacing, and cannot be aimed up or down. And yeah, that flashlight would be probably about around the crotch area of the (cutscene scale) character, so the camera is so much below the flashlight, it's of no use most of the time (in fact, sometimes the cone of the flashlight is not visible because of this).

Beyond all that, the controls are not very tight, and the gunplay isn't vcery responsive, so there is basically no reason to buy this game (personally, if this wouldn't have been in a bundle, I'd refund this).
