I love this game, deep down and with my whole heart. It is THE best city-building simulator out there. There is a reason why SimCity failed and this game is still thiving, with an active community behind it giving it all the love it deserves. It takes all the things we loved about the old SimCity, Cities in Motion, CitiesXL and countless other citybuilders and applies it to a modern game.

Now, if the game is so great, why don't I recommend getting the game you ask?

It has all to do with the toxic DLC policy of the publisher of the game, which runs a large aspect of it. Cities Skyline is a great game... IF you can afford all the DLC. Paradox shows us again how to NOT have a great basegame with DLC that adds, instead we get a new DLC every month that is almost mandatory to play the game properly.

If you think I'm wrong and the game is completly fine on its own, try to disable all the DLC and mods and start up a new game. You are severely limited in what you can do.

At this point, I can't recommend a game that will string you on into a pay2play environment. They could at least be honest and add a monthly subscription to it, instead of hiding it behind DLC.
