It's an absolute joy of a game, really fun in the both ways it plays, I spent a couple hours fishing, it's fairly simple mechanically but executed beautifully. And after that, I'm working on something with it on a second monitor and my dude's just fishing away as I'm writing this, getting me some sweet sweet coins so I'll be able to unlock stuff to catch some big boys later.

I think it would be interesting if there was some mechanical reason to let fishes go, keeping them is too good. Literally get coins and clear the lake of fishes that might get in the way of larger prey.

All in all, it's a great game to just relax with and I heartily recommend it!

It's really worth it especially if you have a CPU with an iGPU, the normal issue I have with frame generation is that the generation of frames typically screws with the base rendering, which in turn requires there to be more fake frames generated and next thing you know you're running at 20 fps with terrible warped graphics. What the dual gpu support means is that you can simply just have your IGPU handle frame generation and next thing you know, you have the best graphics out of your main gpu and that is then processed to have more frames. Perhaps this is the first steps to what NPUs will actually be used for in the future.

It's a lovely program, but you need to understand what it's doing or it won't be any better than the crap that devs add to their games. What you really need to do is to look at your gpu usage as well as consider how and what you want out of the game.

Heckin fun shooting up aliens, live the childhood you never had in this arcade shooter where you wish the US made more nukes. It still needs some work to allow for the player to have a bit more build dynamism and probably optimizations to the performance but it is a really fun snappy thing of a game.

I sit here at the end of the game, beyond the stars that I started from, and I wonder what is there left. Was the trip something I enjoyed?

In all honesty, no. The story was convoluted, and the trip to the centre was just me flying for a few hours straight.

The game's systems really aren't all that fun or cohesive at all in all honesty, the base mechanics, the mining the exploring. All these systems sit in a vacuum lacking a really sense of direction and progression.

The best ways to make money literally are just to collected a bunch of stuff and wait. The way to upgrade most things is just tedious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Now you many wonder and ask, why recommend a game so flawed?

I think there is a spark in it, something to the vastness and the utter scale of the galaxy that you can't help but be captivated by. I think it's failed by it's design, it's systems if designed better could have made this amazing beyond my wildest imaginations. But that potential is still there and I must say, there is still nothing quite like landing on a planet for the very first time, confused and unaware of all else, that you alone are the only one who's been here.

That is something that you can only get from no man sky.

I really hope they take the lessons from nms in their new game, I think using the basis of immense generation with proper systems of progression and gameplay that don't get stale would be great. I don't know how they would do this but I would suggest looking at dwarf fortress, having histories and eons written into the world that is generated and odd interactions that were completely unplanned and unexpected. I think if they can do that, this could potentially be the nest from which springs the greatest adventure game of all time
