Absolutely brilliant continuation to the franchise! Executed very well unlike most triple A titles today. I would recommend it at this current time and, without a doubt, later on too. My hours say it all for this game. I've already found myself checking the time at the start and it being 4:00 pm and then checking a couple of hours later and then what do I know, my alarm's going off at 10:00 am. I cannot deny the fact that this game still continues its "Just One More Turn" idea.

People are often comparing this game to Civilization V a lot which is bad. This game, from what I can tell, is the best bits from each Civilization compiled into one, as well as a few improvements that haven't been attempted before, to make the best Civilization game yet. I believe this has been done fantastically!

Lots of Features means more Replayability
One reason my friends didn't enjoy Civilization V that much is because they found that at one point, they would be doing nothing at all (to the point where their city has nothing to produce but units). They'd mention that there weren't many units to choose from and that it would get boring quickly. This time I would say that this is no longer a problem. I found myself struggling to decide between whether I should build up an army and build up my empire or attempt to continue at my current size and military in an attempt to take the lead with a certain victory like Science, Culture or Religion. If I chose to build up my empire, I'd struggle between whether I should build a settler or builder, or if I should build a slinger or warrior. If I chose to head for a victory early, I'd have to decide between districts or improvements on my City Centre. All of this to consider as well as many new features such as boosting your techs or civics, what government suits you best and what policies will match your goals. Throughout the entire game I felt like I was always busy and this continued my addiction to clicking the "Next Turn" button.

Graphics and Sound Fit Perfectly
The graphics feel a lot similar to Civilization Revolution, which I did like as well as Civilization V's graphics as well, and really makes it feel like you're playing some form of board game. Unlike in Civilization V where it felt like you were spinning a globe around, this gives it the feel that you're reading a map and pin pointing unit orders and other such things alike. Either way, this does not break the immersity. You will still feel like you're ruling a Civilization as always. The graphics did not change the way I play except from the fact that I found myself panning in and out a lot more to see from different perspectives. I love their new hotkeys to rotate the camera too (ALT + LMB)!
The soundtrack sounds a lot like Civilization V's and I think they have even kept some sound from that and put it into this game. That doesn't matter much though, as they've clearly done a fantastic job on their theme song. I love how the soundtrack adapted upon you entering new eras just like in various other Civilization games throughout the franchise.

Aggressive AI but Nice Diplomacy System
Now the AI should be spoken about separately, paired with the diplomacy system. Some people are going over the top when talking about the diplomacy system dragging the game down. It's not as bad as it has been portrayed. Yes, the AI are aggressive but they can also be reasoned with. All of them. I think a lot of people miss the whole idea around Agendas. I agree with the fact that, yes they're annoying considering you can't be friendly with everyone but that's not how it works in reality. Ghandi (talking about the real Ghandi, not the one that nukes everyone) was all for the peace but he couldn't befriend everyone as it just so shows looking back on how he died. Therefore, I feel like the Agenda system is somewhat a good idea. What I see as an issue with the AI at this moment in time is they will attempt to attack you for no reason (Surprise Attack). Do they gain a warmonger penalty? Yes. Do they care? Not the slightest bit. One bug I noticed was when I was allied with Cleopatra (she was my only ally at the time) it came up with something along the lines of "An allied friend has told us Cleopatra is launching a Surprise Attack on the Arabian capital." I was Arabia by the way. I was so confused. She couldn't, and never did, attack me since she was my ally. But this still tells me that no matter what your relationship with a Leader is, when they get the chance they will try their best to declare war on you.

Worth the Money
All in all, I see no other issues with this game. I love almost every piece of it and can't wait to see what DLC has to offer. I expect to be failing all my exams, losing all my friends and being disowned by my own family in the upcoming month or so. But that'll be after the next turn anyway...

I rate this game:
9/10.

I expect that this will reach Overwhelmingly Positive reviews at some point.
EDIT: I nominated Civilization VI for the "Just 5 more minutes" Award since my turns take about 5 minutes to complete each anyway. If I could nominate it for a second, it'd be the "Test of Time Award" but sadly we can't do two.

PS: To those on my friends list asking if it's worth the money, yes. I would certainly say it is. However, I'd recommend buying the Deluxe Edition, so if you don't mind waiting until the price drops on that, perhaps your wait would be more worthwhile.
