Its fun game with many challenges, but its not impossible. First 80% of the base game is spent leveling up and exploring areas looking weapons, armor, talismans, upgrade materials and rune bearers to slay. This is the core loop you can expect to do, and its the best part of the game in my opinion. Carefully exploring an unknown area full of dangers and reward is something this game pulls off wonderfully again and again because there are so many varied locations to explore. After tens of hours traveling the world you'll be looking behind seeing every mountain top and castle you just came from, while seeing new places on the horizon you missed or are upcoming.

This is how the remaining 20% of the game goes without direct spoilers. Climb a near entirely empty mountain top, fight a boss, explore a not small but not large ruined temple, fight a boss you've fought multiple times before, walk up some stairs, fight a boss, travel back to an old boss arena to fight a new boss, go up some stairs, fight a new boss in a previous boss arena, fight a boss, fight a boss. Final credits... After such an epic and expansive journey i really cant sum up the finale of this game other than that. Almost like they had all the bosses and story written out but ran up on their deadline sooner than expected and shoved all the final bosses in line to fit them in. They're some of the most memorable and intense bosses in the game don't get me wrong i do enjoy the fights, but there is no break between them and (for me) is like a guillotine to the pacing and everything else that made this game what it is. After beating it multiple times and loving the game i still struggle to find anything else positive about the finale, its my least favorite stretch of the entire game.

All in all it is a terrific game that's almost impossible to find its equal among seas of "souls like" ARPG's. not without its own problems, but i feel that a lot of issues one would get from this game (like me thinking the endgame is a little too linear and paced differently from to the rest) are pretty subjective to your own experience and many others will differ. Anyone can beat this game, it's just a matter of if you can sacrifice the time to appreciate all this game has to offer. its a sea of opportunities with many tools to discover and utilize in your favor.
