Simplistic yet joyous gameplay. Well designed arenas, no bullcrap stopping you from jumping to multiplay and compete with others or completely ignore them and just enjoy yourself. 5Euros is perhaps a bit steep (not much content here), but if you can get it for less, do it.. :)

I was really sceptical if I would like this game in 2015, but it so happened that my main rig died and I was left with mighty Intel Atom netbook and plenty of time to kill.. And boy, did this blast from the past deliver. So much nostalgia. Yes, UI is clunky, story is not so rich and mechanics are not that complex, but it reminded me of my Transport tycoon times (must-not-download OpenTTD, or my life is ruined) so I got almost no sleep in 2 days and now that I have my primary laptop back. I am actually thinking about instaling this tycoon thingy again.. So.. where are the savegames located?

It's pretty damn good effort for an Indie game. I enjoyed the outline of the story and some decisions we really interesting. It is not AAA game though and in the end you grow to hate that house, which brings me to lenght which is just spot on for this "novel" ;) The price is not though and even though I want to see other endings, I don't want to play the game again. So for me youtube it is and as for you, wait for a sale and enjoy the ride for one evening.. :)

Well, i really wanted to like this game, but it just does not deliver.. Controls are clunky, especially the kind of superpower that you will get literally 5mins before the finale. Too bad you'll need it to win that ridiculous boss battle. Story has so many dead ends (for example line with the secondary character just ends abruptly and you will never heard about him ever since, I know that devs maybe wanted to use that for sequel, but still) and also the ending feels very rushed and anti-climaxic. It is not entirely bad, but you just can't help to feel, that it could have been so much more.. Oh, and who hired the voice actress for the main protagonist? Also who thought that she should moan constantly when you are even ankles deep in the water which.. DUH!.. you will be pretty often.. Sry but i can't recommend it unles you REALLY love water physics, don't mind ankward controls, mediocre story with rushed end and last but not least bad voice acting.

Just WOW! This is the most awesome thing that ever happened to internet! I have to make party with my friend to share it ASAP! But now I am off to play "Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They Roar" !

I won this game and did not expect much from it, and I would normaly not buy it, since Idon't enjoy this genre very much but I really enjoy Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! The idea is pretty original (at least to me) Puzzles are not stupid, nor too hard and when you occasionally mess up, then there are plenty of checkpoints. I like the over the top humor, artwork and I love all the clever puns on billboards and honorable mentions of almost every indie game. Yes I recommend it.. :)

The best way to enjoy Dead Effect is to play it slightly drunk.. :) At first, it was exactly what i expected from a budget shooter. But it has some nice points and over time I grew to like it. Soundtrack is ok, The story line has "B" written all over it, but halfway through the game they come up with pretty elegant excuse for it (if you bother with collecting the PDAs), but still there are too many clichés. It has a very Doom3-like feel to it and, surprisingly, sometimes it can give you a nice scare.

It also borrowed ideas from other games as well (Mass Effect 2 hacking anyone?), but not in a offensive way. Voice acting is cheesy, but again, it was meant to be (obvious excuse on the devs part, I know) and if you are a bit tipsy it is actually fun. Obviously there are some problems as well. Guns feel wrong and secondary aim is just rubbish, which is a very low point in FPS. There are only few types of enemies (granade ones are really OP) and in the end of the story mode you are left with "Boy, that escalated quickly" feeling, but then you see the credits and you have to give credit where it's due ;). Nice game for such a small team.

Would I recommend this for 5Euros (and in my case much less)? Hell yeah!

BTW: After first start i realized that Dead Effect actually comes from my country, but subtitles are not correct at all, Czechs beware, It is better to play in English. :)

I don't know how this game has been all the time under my radar. Surprisingly fun!

Nice little visual novel. I enjoyed it and Chris Avellone enjoyed and backed it.. I defer to his judgement.. ;)
