▀▄▀▄▀▄ Tacoma ▄▀▄▀▄▀

I really liked specific things about Tacoma, but as a whole I don't think it's worth more than just 1 play-through. The entire game\story is highly dependent upon you as a player, you could speed through much of it without knowing what's going on and beating the game without much closure. This is a real slow burn, you need to know that before starting the game.

I combed through Tacoma Station absorbing all the information I could to find out what happened to the crew and eventually beating the game. Tacoma has a cool setting with compelling reasons to invest into that world but the crew is the weakest part of the whole thing. All the problems I have with the game are connected to the crew, the writing is too slow and dull most of the time. The crew themselves have interesting backgrounds on paper but none of that manifests itself to how its presented to the player. A lot of random banter and other moments for flavor which all gets thrown out the window when the crisis happens. I could go on, but to say anything else would spoil things for those who already know they are into this type of adventure game.

If the setting or genre is what is bringing you in, Prey 2017 does a way better job, go play that instead.
