Twin-shooter that makes progress easy with strong weapons and useful gadgets.

The game begins with Robin crashing a train into Amir's house. These two are the playable characters, and you can select which one to play on the train, although other characters will appear later. It does not matter because everyone plays the same way. The train is also where you choose levels. They must be played in order, although you can always replay them.

The gameplay revolves around the twin-shooter mechanic. Aside from movement, you can dash through holes and evade opponent projectiles. You do not have a personal weapon because you are given two random weapons every time you start a stage. The bad news is that if you wish to use another weapon, you must access your inventory and switch manually; the good news is that weapons can be combined.

This can be done in workshops, and the whole mechanic is similar to upgrading. The first weapon you choose will always be the primary, while the second will be sacrificed to upgrade it. There is no cost for doing this, and you can easily disassemble them if you are dissatisfied with the results.

A weapon can be upgraded multiple times, although this is earned gradually as you progress through the game. The fun part is that you might get different results depending on the sacrificed weapon, However, the choice of weaponry is limited, so you will most likely choose one that works and stick with a combination from start to finish. Alslo, the sixth upgrade is broken and doesn't unlock even when you grab the toolbox.

The game takes through four worlds, each with five stages. You start in the suburbs, continue on to the jungle, and so on. Main enemy are skeletons in various shapes and forms, and some new ones are introduced in each world.

Stages are made up of arenas that close off their exits and spawn enemies as you enter. After defeating everyone, exits become available, and you can choose where to go next. There is a map to help you navigate the various exits, although each stage only comprises about 7 rooms. It’s all very straightforward with an occasional bonus room with a challenging fight or free chests.

The reward for clearing a room is a box or chest containing shards. Some of these shards can also be obtained by destroying destructible assets. Sometimes you will locate a more important-looking chest that also contains an item. These provide a little advantage, such as faster speed and increased critical hits, and you can hold multiples of the same type.

The goal of each level is to find a signpost that will allow you to progress to the next stage. Like similar roguelite games, you can sometimes choose between two paths They feature icons that show what you may expect, such as bones representing basic stages with enemies, a fork where you can obtain free things, and special areas where you can discover specific weapons, such as a feather in a chicken coop.

Aside from stuff and weapons, you can find abilities if you go to the right place on the map. These are not that useful because you need to fill up the bar before you can use it. This is done by killing enemies.

The primary goal is to reach the exclamation point at the end, when you must defeat a bunch of enemies or a boss to receive a cool reward. For example, the first level provides you a new train cart, while the second introduces a new crewmember who sells new items.

After completing the entire stage, all objects obtained will be crushed and transformed into milk cartons. These are used in vending machine in the train to purchase useful gadgets such as marker that shows the signpost or portable workshops. Once bought, they will always be active.

One bug might cause some frustration. Sometimes, the stage's objective doesn't show up, so you won't be able to finish the stage or continue. All you can do is return to the train, but in this case you lose all rewards. There's also some strange gadget that's supposed to show something, but I never noticed anything. It must be one of rare broken features in the game.
