A fun & unique Puzzle Roguelike, with similar vibes to Witching Stone where it's not a deck builder but more of a "engine builder" (albeit not as complex as witching stone), where you try to pick out from what game throws at you and make use out of it.

Picking out equipment decides the "faces" on the board, and then you need to match them by sliding one of the rows or collumns. You can see the intent (and gimmicks, if enemy has any) of your opponent clearly, and the "preview" of the results that shows how each move would affect yours and enemy's hp and other stats makes it much easier to decide what option to go for.

One thing that felt off was "random" mobs would often be more dangerous than boss enemies, which I assume is due to them getting random equipment and rolling for their actions with those, but in general those non-boss fights have a huge variance in them, in either side, which made some runs more difficult than I feel they should be.

♥♥♥♥ Take-Two and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practices. First a rushed DLC release, now a downright comical EULA upgrade saying things like they own content made with RoR2, or that you can't use or even discuss mods. No hard feelings towards Hopoo as they wanted to move on, but the result was the unlucky situation game ended up in.

A simple yet very deep roguelike with plethora of gamemodes to play and modifiers/difficulties to adjust your experience.

A little gem of a game which despite the clear and simple rules has a surprising amount of depth as well as a lot of content. Game's also very polished in terms of QoL such as seamlessly switching controls, clear tooltips as well as an ability to skip majority of the metaprogression (which unlocks more characters and items to use).

After how SotV turned out I didn't expect Gearbox to get everything right, but good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ God they just shat an entire bed.

Jumping into the DLC, full patch notes of which Gearbox put out you could fit in a single Discord messsage, you can find all plethora of things broken in one way or another, even things that DLC doesn't or shouldn't affect in any way. Graphics look worse for no reason, some abilities not working correctly anymore (one of them started being affected by the framerate you have your game on, being boerline unusable below 120 fps), and all around jank. Despite the bunch of new achievements you can get only 3 were added to steam achievements, all still labeled with placeholder names. It feels like instead of having proper team to make and test the product they just put half a dozen of interns in a room while also sending off their QA team on a vacation trip.

I will mention one good thing about the DLC however - the newly added umbrella options add some more clarity and QoL without directly making the game easier. Granted, the way some are worded or presented is a bit awkward to use, but it is generally a step in right direction compared to the need for external tools or wiki to understand the game's mechanics.

Overall, I really wish Gearbox will properly get to work on this and fix all the egregious errors that plague the game (even if you didn't purchase the DLC) so that the DLC will be worth its price rather than feeling like a downgrade to the previous version.

A short and cute story with cute graphics and a puzzle game attached. I sometimes made puzzles take longer than they should by overthinking, but still managed to see all the story and endings in little more than an hour. I've encountered a few small technical issues, but they weren't significant enough to distract from the experience. Geniuinely looking forward for more things from the devs.

At start I need to mention that it's not my cup of tea, but I decided to try my luck. It starts out rather easy, and if you don't get any part, you can just read the available help prompts. Each time a new element is introduced, it is easy to understand, as long as you stick to the info you're presented. The twist at the end was unexpected, but I manged to pull through. Overall, I enjoyed it from the start to an end - The pancakes turned out great!

Oh, you mean the game? It's short, fun and free, and the characters are cute. Definitely recommended.
