What makes a fair a fair? Alright, here me out. Let's say you're walking down town and you see a flier for a fair coming up. You decide to check it out, but when you get their it's only a merry go round. I don't think anyone would call that a fair, that's just a merry go round. Fast forward a couple months and there's another flier for a fair. This time there is a merry go round, a pony, and a stand that makes popcorn. Now while that's an improvement, I still don't think I'd call that a fair, if I did it's a pretty crappy one at that. So at what point can you call it a fair? At what point does the amount of attractions and concessions add up to what you'd call a fair? Is there some other requirement to a fair's fair-ness that I am overlooking? I have spent many nights thinking about this question, and I believe it will be a question that I shall carry to my grave.
