I kind of prolonged its death in my eyes by playing on community servers, but I could really only do that for so long

I mean, I might play this game again one day. But I doubt it'll be on matchmaking. Maybe when I really wanna play the game again (like y'know.. right now.) Sort of forcing myself to not instinctively start up tf2. Trying to break that habit.

ive been loving this game since i played it on a laptop in 2013. i think the only reason to play it anymore is to play it with friends, but as of the past two years, it's just become a depressing reminder of what it used to be. its hard to say goodbye to a game thats been a bigger part of my life than most of my friends, but i do think its healthy to know when to move on

Meet your match was such a mistake. Forcing "ranks" and matchmaking for casual games was insane. Let the competitive community stay in their corner of the game that they already have control over. Keep casual to putting people into whatever had the best ping per their preferences. The only good thing that came from it was letting people party together. The caveat of it forcing parties to face other parties, however, kills it because of the egregiously long matchmaking times and how a lot of parties are super sweaty (in addition to parties of "the problem").

Also mid-game autobalance needs to not exist. Hell I'd take voting to scramble the teams back over this shit.

Still, the game is fun enough of the time to keep me and most others engaged. It's just frustrating how simple it is to fix the main issues currently plaguing the game, yet Valve remains incompetent.
