why the ♥♥♥♥ this game so good

I've always wanted a Viscera Cleanup Detail type game where you have to avoid making the mess yourself, and this finally scratches that itch. For a free game, it provided a very fun hour's worth of gameplay, and I'm prolly gonna hop back in later to get some achievements I missed.

What other game out there makes you utter the sentence "Damn, I'm out of malaria pills"?

Farcry 2 is still a unique title that stands the test of time, regardless of how many games copied it from the time it released and still borrow from it. It's an unpolished, buggy, oftentimes clunky mess of a game, and it's so good that it doesn't matter. The jank often works in its favor if anything.

Nostalgia may be dictating my words, but I don't care. You can pick this up for the price of a lunch on sale. Or well, more like the price of a bag of chips nowadays. Either way, it's worth it. Just look into multi fixer and consider capping the framerate so the game doesn't have to be even buggier than it already is.

If any devs are reading this, please for the love of all that is holy, give this game an early access tag. It's a very fun game, but calling this a complete game feels very wrong.

Overall, it has issues and it's very buggy, but considering the fact it's really fun even in this kinda broken state, I get the feeling this game is going to become a classic one day. Helps that the devs are very receptive to feedback. Love to see it! Just hope they know where to draw the line. Customer isn't always right.

I don't know what combination of narcotics was involved in the creation of this game, but someone at Arrowhead made the connection that Helldivers is kinda like MGSV, and decided to double down by proposing what is effectively MGSV but as a coop shooter.


Well, it worked, so I can't fault the method! Coincidentally, this game is about as addictive as whatever substance they used thinking it up.

Buildcrafting Simulator 2023

Played the open beta and loved it, but when the full game finally came out...


...It was just as fun as it was in the beta! Don't really understand what people are talking about personally, I'm having a blast. Movement feels fine and heavy still needs tweaking.

I went in with high expectations.

I still wasn't prepared for how unreasonably good this game is.
