Never did I think that a card game would be a contender for my top game this year yet here we are. Where do I start? I suppose I'll start with one of the most amazing things about this game; the atmosphere. It's breathtaking. Seeing dark eyes before you as you scheme behind a sadistic man's back in order to escape, going through a short rpg section with a tone similar to the darker parts of Undertale, to having everything you know about the game be mixed around with an entirely different aesthetic while still keeping that horror tone, this game oozes with character. Second, the creativity. This game mixes together genres perfectly in different and unique ways. You have to constantly puzzle over your cards, the room you're in, the characters you meet and even your own freakin' computer to solve it's many mysteries. Lastly, the gameplay is awesome. You can really see yourself improving and outsmarting your opponent is ever so satisfying. The rules change in slightly different ways to keep you on your toes constantly so you never get tired of the gameplay loop. If you're debating on this game it is 100% worth the $20.
