I'm re-doing my review of this game.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This isn't even a game, it's a space exploration tool.
Simply put, this is LITERALLY the entire Universe at your fingertips. Completely seamless exploration that works flawlessly. You can fly from the surface of Earth to the edge of the Universe at millions of light-years per-second without a single loading screen or transition.
Yes, really.

Words cannot begin to describe the absolute scale of this application, seeing our own galaxy turn into a single point among BILLIONS as the cosmic web zooms past you.
I'll list a fraction of the possibilities for you.

-Sit on the surface of the Moon and watch the Earth pass over the horizon.
-Travel to the centre of any galaxy in the Universe and witness the supermassive black hole.
-Edit any planet to suit your needs. Want it purple? Go for it. Want it to have life? Sure, just don't expect to actually see animals, the engine isn't designed for that.
-Sit at the edge of space and watch the Earth rotate underneath you.
-Click on any star in the sky and visit that solar system.
-Click on any galaxy in the sky (billions) and visit any star in that galaxy (billions upon billions)
-Land on any planet in any solar system and look at the mountains, rivers, sunsets, auroras.

Space Engine uses procedural generation to make possibly up to trillions of completely unique fully scaled galaxies and solar systems that all follow the laws of physics to our understanding, something you find in Space Engine is very likely to be out there in our real Universe.
The possibilities, like the Universe, are nearly limitless.

Did I mention there's a photo realism mode for screenshots?
(Plus a new high-res screenshot tool!)
Yeah, this 1:1 physically accurate Universe also looks as real as it feels, beware, you'll obviously need a somewhat beefy PC to handle it.

Overall, buy this. Now.
Support these developers, their work could literally change our understanding of the Universe.

It definitely gave me a sense of scale...
