Pros:
- Combat is good. The new gun sounds make the guns very satisfying to shoot. Animations look good as well. The bullet cracks and whizzes are cool too.
- Environments are cool. Liked the abandoned Aperture labs and the Arctic.
- Does a good job of showing (and not telling) new gameplay mechanics and weapons.
- Vehicle section was fun. Driving was clunky, but being able to mow down resistance members and spam them with rockets more than made up for it.

Cons:
- Script is a bit lame. Has that Marvel ♥♥♥♥-tier quippy "humor" in the dialogue, alongside memes and references that are just atrocious. Plot itself is fine. I just wish the script took itself more seriously, and that 3650 was played straight.
- The VA for the radio commander is horrible. Completely out of place compared to everyone else. Wouldn't be surprised if a dev voiced him.
- Some of the geometry in the levels have that block Source 2006 look to them. Clashes constantly with the rest of the surroundings.
- Runs like ass. I know the creator said they liked to push the engine to its limits somewhere, but do you really have to? You could at least optimize the levels a bit.

Nitpicking:
- Ammo is scarce. I found myself constantly running out of ammo for my main weapons (SMG, Shotgun, AR2). Had to constantly switch back to my Gauss Pistol to conserve ammo.
- Collision on some props and level geometry are bigger than the object actually is, making me waste my shots a lot.
- Squad mechanic is next to useless. You can go through most of the game just by yourself, which is good since squads themselves are clunky and just get in your way.
- Would have liked it a lot more if the gameplay was more tactical a la Republic Commando. The first door you had to kick open had me excited for something like that, but was disappointed when it was just standard HL2 gameplay.
- I have no idea why the bonus map "Cold Signal" is in this mod. It's literally a 10-15 minute map of nothing but you clicking buttons and shooting one or two zombies in an empty snow map. That's it. I expected it to be a short campaign about being the radio commander in the original story, but no. It adds nothing to the mod as a whole.

All in all, it's a decent mod to check out if you want more HL2, but definitely not Mod of the Year for me. 6.5/10. 7/10 if the maps were optimized more.

This shouldn't be free.

Seriously, it shouldn't. Three to five bucks, maybe. But certainly not free. This game plays too good to simply be a free game.

7/10. Would ♥♥♥♥ in an outhouse while making my way through a junkyard killing black-colored box people again.

Early Access Review
Although I have only played for roughly only an hour, I had tons of fun, I have never played any of the "I Wanna" games or any precision platformer of the sort and this is a very good introduction to the fangames for newcomers. Gameplay and controls are smooth and precise, levels load so fast that you can play and finish one in under thirty seconds, and I haven't encountered any bugs yet (though that may change as I play more).

If you are someone who likes to squeeze out just a few more milliseconds to get into the leaderboard or a masochistic bastard who likes to press R all the time, and does it across over 20,000 levels currently, then get this game. Iz gud.

Alright, so I think I've spent enough time on this game to make a review so here we go.

Pros:
-A hefty amount of guns and items that can heavily change your run.
-Lots of things you can unlock/discover that can either benefit you or challenge you.
-Has a good balance between skill and RNG.
-Lots of interesting enemies, bosses, and characters. (Here's a big ♥♥♥♥ you to Gatling Gull and Lead Maidens.)
-The lore/story is great
-Nice artstyle
-This game runs pretty great on medium settings on my potato battery powered toaster.
-Gun puns. Lots and lots of gun puns.

Thing/s That Don't Fit Into Pros or Cons:
-The RNG in this can sometimes ♥♥♥♥ you over. In one run, you can get a black chest on the first floor and a Stuffed Star as soon as you meet Cursula, and in one run you are stuck with a Peashooter, numerous mimics, and no ammo drops. Which might be good to people who like being challenged with bad drops.

Cons:
-Sometimes, you have to choose whether you buy this or that, or waste a key or two on that, which can slow the pace of the game down.
-The music isn't that great. It's one of those things where you're like: "Oh, cool." And just never notice it's existence ever again.

Overall, I'd say 8/10. It's a great game, the pros outwiegh the cons. But take this review with a grain of salt as I've only clocked in 24 hours as I'm writing this review, and with the Advanced G&D Update coming soon, my opinion on this game might change.
